Trump is trying really hard to accept a personal gift of a $400 million luxury jet, and we were required to reject any gift valued at more than $19.99.
We did exactly that, every single time.

That was less than 10 years ago, but feels like a couple centuries in ethical years…

A diplomatic economist.
“Does the president understand economics?”
@jeffreygoldberg.bsky.social asks Kirsten Hillman, an economist and Canada’s ambassador to the U.S.

“I think the president has a very specific vision of what he’s trying to do in America,” she says.

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.

If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

Serving in Congress should be an opportunity to deliver for your community, not to enrich yourself.

Our bipartisan bill will promote accountability by preventing Members of Congress from trading stocks, receiving yearly raises, and turning to lobbying shortly after their terms.

When I talk to kids today and they ask me what I would do if I were 12 today, my answer is always the same, read books and learn how to use AI in every way shape and form you can. It is a living library that gives you responses and can help no matter who you are or where you live.

Canadian MP Charlie Angus: So here’s how it’s going to go down—this is going to be very rough. But the big wake-up call is for our American friends.

For example, Kentucky—the number one purchaser of Kentucky spirits in the world is Canada, and all our provinces have just pulled it off the shelves.

I big-V voted in November with my ballot.

But I hope we continue to remember to little-v vote with our feet. Whether that’s with how we engage with / consume products, journalism or social content.

Goodbye FB. Goodbye X. Thank you for the 1st phases of the internet. I demand something better now.

As I said today, let’s remember where the power in that Capitol rotunda comes from: the people. The construction workers, teachers, health care workers, and the firefighters in LA. Our democracy must match their grit and determination.
