Still want Arteta to win nothing through his entire career. Really dislike the guy.
Removing randomness from football is hard. Arsenal do a good job at it.
I don’t enjoy Arsenal’s style of play. It’s just terrible to watch and devoid of the reasons I like football. It’s also highly effective and they’ve nearly perfected their process.
There is little to indicate that they will as of this moment
That’s not meaningful is the point of my question. It’s not that I didn’t understand your point- it’s that these season on season comparisons mean so little and I reject it as having much value.
Because your original post reads as “this is just normative variance”, which it’s not. If that’s your pov plus taking a swipe at people’s concerns about this team, then I have problem with that.
I’m not insulting you, I’m asking you to tell me what do those numbers tell you about Liverpool’s process? What is Liverpool’s process and what do the underlying numbers tell you about how it’s being implemented.
Are you being intentionally obtuse?
It’s not. The actual process needs to be fixed and make sense. The stats you’ve posted are surface level and ignore other things that surround this team which the eye test is telling you.
One loss would have been fine and not the end of the world. It’s four straight losses in a team that’s been ropey since March. And it’s ceding advantages in the title race to our opposition. Fake rationality is fake.
Lubo it’s a 9 point swing in three game weeks and we look like a team with a wholly broken process.
Points is fine but even then, season on season comparisons don’t tell you that we’ve had a 9 point swing in three game weeks and that quite easily clarifies why people think the sky is falling. 9 point swings in three weeks lose you leaguers.
This just kind of reveals that xG is an incomplete metric because Liverpool’s method of accumulation of xG, over the last three games in particular, is to put 6 attackers on the pitch to claw back bad game state.
I think it’s obvious we either profiled ball carriers or just don’t know what we’re doing.
He’s not replacing Tsimi, we can stop pretending that’s a thing.
Oh I think he’s been fairly awful. We’re also exposing his worst flaws.
I’d think more of the continuity discussion if there was an apparent tactical plan and playing people on basis of meritocracy.
Sure but the point is flawed in that you can develop a succession plan proactively. The left back issue isn’t new.
What world class LB did we lost?

Decades after the Heysel and Hillsborough disasters, can politicians please not second-guess expert safety assessments for football stadiums.

Thank you.

An Aston Villa fan.
Nope. Not good enough. You don’t spent what we did on top of a league title to win a a domestic cup comp. It’s one of the two big pots. That’s the good enough here.
I‘m basically at “this group is too talented to fail.” But my problem is that right now I have no idea what type of success we can/ should reasonably expect from them.

Maybe hope for Man City’s last season while actually winning the FA cup final? Might be good enough in a rebuild season.

Opta Stan.

Maccabi Tel Aviv have had 2 match postponements in the last 266 days for public disorder.

Aston Villa haven't had 1 in 50,080 days (since 8th September 1888, Football League Matchday 1, the birth of global league football). Home or away.

Gaslit.
He needs to show a better plan A
Some of the poor form might be down to how they players are deployed
