My understanding is they were given a chance to complete their arc but with a shorter season, and that it was Disney’s decision to cancel. It did complete the story but they last 3 longer episodes ditched some of its signature humor and slower pacing in order to bring the larger story to an end.

An animated character is brought to life by writers, animators, and voice actors. I really wish these panels included at least the lead animation team, because as fun as the VAs are (they’re performers!) their characters are more than just voice performance. I wanna know all the Frankenstein tricks!
