My students played Dimma Davidoff's original "Mafia" today in class. Davidoff was a psych grad student at Moscow State in 1986 when he came up with the game, whose basic principle he describes as the conflict between an "informed minority vs. uninformed minority." 1/?

The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans in Georgia tried to block it, but a new museum will open on December 2 at Stone Mountain to tell the story of the largest Confederate monument in the world. The museum will explore the monument and its connection to white supremacy. 🗃️ www.reuters.com/world/us/bat...

I now want to abolish the Senate not because it is anti-democratic, but because if its Democratic members.

If ACA tax credits expire at the end of the year, Victoria and hundreds of thousands of Georgians could be forced off their health insurance.

I moved to GA in 2020. That year, voters here elected Sens @warnock.senate.gov and @ossoff.senate.gov. We managed to keep Warnock in office, and it's looking like Ossoff's reelection campaign will be even harder fought next year. GA is purple on a good day, so I get why Ossoff is nervous rn.
November 9, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Well I called @ossoff.senate.gov. I hope he and @warnock.senate.gov stand firm.

I'm teaching our methods course next semester for the first time. It used to be a fairly standard "here's what sources are, come up with a research topic and do research" class, but we're sort of moving towards more of a "let's close read sources" model, along with some basic historiography stuff.

I'm an academic, so I get the skepticism about "natsec" shit, but I'm also a Russian historian, so sign me the fuck up for "natsec" shit.
Also, expect plenty of female “National Security Democrats” in the mold of Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill to run for Congress, state legislature and other races next year.
