Here is a sketch of tower of glorious Muttrah fort, that, pardon the pun, towers over the Muscat harbour, perched on top of Al-Hajar mountains. Initially built by Portuguese in 1507, it has fallen and was conquered by the anti-colonial freedom fighters of Ya'rubid dynasty.

We told ourselves it will be too complicated, to exhausting to get to the southern part of the country, so we decided not to do it... but somehow, three days later we happened to be inside of a bus going from Nizwa to Salalah to greet the Luban/Frankincense trees grove at dawn after a long walk.

Wadi Bani Habib - an omani mountain village in a ravine on the slopes of Jebel Akhdar, became deserted. Now, a place that was almost inaccessible for centuries has a robust road leading right to the crumbling houses.

Al Ayn Beehive Tombs are an ancient necropolis dating back to Bronze Age. It is the smallest site of three similar locations in western Oman.
In the next few day I'll be sharing some sketches I've made on the road over the winter break.

Had a rough day at Dragonmeet yesterday with @uktin.bsky.social that started with Mixam not sending me my stock in time and SumUp locking us out of card payments for an hour and a half. But we overcame. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited us and explored our diverse world of indie TTRPGs.
At the @uktin.bsky.social Booth (M23-33) I got to meet up with @lalionnecosplay.bsky.social, @happystoat.bsky.social, and @ronamis.bsky.social (who has wares if you have coin). Be sure to check them and all the other fine folk who work with UKTIN out!
