If you're a strange person like me who still enjoys gaming on a CRT monitor, check out my Steam Curator group. We provide short game reviews in addition to information about how well games support 4:3 resolutions

Veterans of Jedi Academy are no strangers to the old 2005 map "Sith Council V2" - our pal Link had a chat with the creator Kahn talking about the brief history and personal touches of the map! Amazing video.

When somebody tells you they'll meet you in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 11 o'clock at night to give you a free Sony Trinitron, you go meet that person in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 11 o'clock at night for a free Sony Trinitron

New CRT monitor pickup! 19" Gateway 2000 EV900. Maxes out at 1600x1200 screen resolution. Has a pretty decent picture quality and geometry, no apparent defects.

Looking forward to some retro gaming on this thing over the weekend!

Happy 20 years to the PSP!

Here's my PSP 1000 model. It desperately needs some TLC; the battery no longer holds a charge and the control stick has an exaggerated drift, making most games unplayable.

Regardless, there are still many ways to enjoy #PSP games these days. Do you have any favorites?

Tried out the Bad Update exploit on the Xbox 360 this weekend!

Pretty cool to play the GoldenEye 007 leaked prototype or long since delisted Marble Blast Ultra on real hardware. You should definitely give this a try if you have an Xbox 360 lying around!

Happy 25 years to the PlayStation 2!

Here's a look at my phat model, I recently hooked this guy up with a Free Mcboot card and an internal hard drive for homebrew purposes.

Despite how old it is, I'm not all that experienced with the PS2 library. What are your can't-miss games on the system?

Part of me was hoping the Deepseek thing was going to force American tech companies to pivot toward devaluing the concept of generative AI, but instead it seems like we will continue plowing full steam ahead toward stupid town

@oldmanhobo.bsky.social Hey man I wanted to let you know it looks like your Steam account has been hacked. I received a suspicious message from somebody posing as you with a shady URL. You should try to recover your account asap. I would have sent this as a DM but can't figure out how

I have no hope we'll successfully thread this needle, but this moment is calling for a broader class awakening and here's a hint that it might actually work.
The right are confused why their own audiences aren't clutching pearls alongside them.

It's that monsters who make millions profiting off human misery don't deserve your empathy. Their murderous evil systems shouldn't exist

Bluesky will be launching a subscription service by the end of the year. There are no details yet on how many tiers. Premium tiers will likely include higher-resolution pics, more/longer video uploads, and profile/page customization aesthetics. Longer term, there's a monetization plan for creators.
