Civil disobedience in Roseville today. Don’t worry, the grass was ok.

Roseville showed up today to make our feelings known! We don’t want ICE in our neighborhoods, abducting our neighbors & hurting people. We stand in solidarity with MN & all communities standing up to ICE.

A call to action for our fellow defenders of our democracy: During this assault on our freedoms, We the People must continue to stand strong and united in our opposition to government overreach and oppression. We the People must continue to protest the fascist attacks on the rule of law, the attacks on our neighbors and the attacks on our freedoms. We The People must continue to rise up and resist tyranny in all of its forms. We must make our voices heard. We must continue to stand up to the fascist bullies. We the People must be a voice for those who have no voice, who have not been heard or fear for their lives. We the People must stand for Freedom, Liberty, and Justice for All. We must rise now to save our Democracy for our children, no matter who they are or where they came from. We the People need to up our game. WE THE PEOPLE WILL OVERCOME

ICE murdered Renee Good in cold blood today.

Tonight people were angry & sad, but the community came together in solidarity with our neighbors in Minnesota. People came out to the ICE facility in Sacramento to remember Renee Good & call for ICE to leave our towns & stop terrorizing our communities

Roseville Area Democratic Club also stands by this statement from Placer Dems. ICE, CBP and the other DHS enforcement agencies terrorizing our community have no place in Placer County.

DHS Enforcement Agencies at William Jessup University government Jobs Fair on December 8. The Placer County Democratic Party appreciates Jessup University hosting a jobs fair, but we must be clear: We strongly condemn the presence of immigration enforcement agencies associated with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Originally, Congressman Kiley's office listed ICE as attending. The list was then corrected to include U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), alongside Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). See: https://kiley.house.gov/federal-jobs-fair HSI and CBP are key partners in the indiscriminate, violent raids and racial profiling that violate the civil rights of our neighbors. Furthermore, all of these agencies are components of DHS. USCIS, while handling lawful immigration benefits, actively coordinates with ICE and is still a DHS agency involved in the enforcement system. The attempt to substitute one agency for another does not change the fact that DHS enforcement is expected to be present. The indiscriminate and violent raids occurring nationwide against immigrants are unconscionable. We stand fully with our immigrant families, friends, and neighbors who are being unnecessarily tormented and living in a state of fear. We have a moral obligation to advise our Placer County community about the potential harms they may face, particularly our immigrant population wishing to attend.

“Strong floor, no ceiling” is what we have right now, and the floor is being eroded by the “no ceiling” billionaires running the country. No Ceiling just means stealing from workers to pay CEO’s enough to buy 10,000 yachts. No thanks.

Housing is a human right. It’s not enough to build more houses, even affordable ones, we need to curtail the greed that has created the massive disparity between billionaires and everyone else. Tax corporations fairly & use it for free childcare, education and UBI, then people could afford a home.

Completely agreed. We must fight for our trans neighbors on principle because it’s the right thing to do. And sticking to our guns on trans rights is putting our money where our mouth is. Everyone deserves to feel safe in our communities.
