Our council has signed up to the imagination library so now my toddler proudly announces that "I've got a book from Dolly". She's such a legend

Finished my PhD fortnight with survey analysis completed, written up and shared with supervisors. Didn't get into the Discussion chapter as planned, but good progress nonetheless.

Back at it in the day job with 360 emails to work through!

6k words written and the 1st draft of the 4th theme is done. Taking tomorrow off with the kid before starting on my quant analysis

Very grateful for Wikipedia editors. It makes deciphering the acronyms used by govts, libraries, funders and HE across 3 countries much easier to navigate #phdsky

The guest does this in this prom ("that section was played a bit fast") and you can hear the host have no idea how to handle it www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Love Radio 3, love that the Proms are all just on there for free, love the halftime chat that has the same structure as halftime chat in sport but where they are never, ever going to actually go “well, he’s not a *great* Finnish conductor, is he?”

Haha!

Flanker, badly, but I did enjoy a rolling maul and miss it when the Roses get some momentum going

I don't know, that Kildunne-Dow link up for the try was pretty sweet (and I'm saying that as an ex-forward)

Out of office on, Teams and work emails removed from my phone and 2 weeks of full-time PhD-ing ahead! Starting slightly late as I needed to do some peer reviewing this morning, but hoping to write up the 4th theme in my thematic analysis over the next 2.5 days #PhDSky

It's Joe Hill (murder, union-busting) for me, although R is unimpressed by my singing as I can't hit the low notes like Paul Robeson youtu.be/n8Kxq9uFDes?...

I thought we had got it down to a few hundred and then discovered we have another 5-6 boxes at my in-laws house 😬 definitely trying to run a one-in, one-out system at the moment and most fiction gets regifted to live on other people's shelves

This is the end result of anti-trans bigotry: more harassment of girls and women, more policing of gender roles, more gender McCarthyism.

We had our stuff in storage for a year after planning for it to only be 3 months. I'd say go all in on tetris-esque stacking to make good use of the vertical space and make sure you leave stuff that you will need if it's longer than a couple of months at the front.

"Perhaps the most overlooked open research practice is interpersonal openness. This is an attitude of transparency about the aims and process of the research project, and about the researchers’ motivations and backgrounds – their positionality – when communicating with research participants."

Really interesting day of discussions at the UKRI research data policy consultation event in Birmingham, and I'm clearly fulfilling some kind of librarian stereotype as I'm across the aisle from @kirstywallis.com in the quiet coach
