Thielen with another drop, Great player but he's mishandled more than half the balls come his way this year.

Drafting closers early in the offseason is going to be difficult because teams (ATL, DET) keep doubling up on candidates.

Isn't starting a QB who hasn't played in five years when you have a healthy rookie who looked ok last week one of the most obviously wrong coaching decisions? Maybe I'll be wrong Sunday. Rivers is a fun story, but it's terrible logic, right?

How come football is the only sport that has the refs explain the overtime rules before every OT game? Can you imagine that in MLB?

Did Hurts get credit for an INT and fumble lost on the same play? Ever done before?

For all of the complaints about the college playoff bracket, just think if it was 1995 and the debate was which of the SIX one-loss teams would be playing Indiana in the title game. This is still better.

So much better to be arguing about the 12th team in vs. the 5th or just the national champ in previous eras.
December 7, 2025 at 5:24 AM
Make every conference champ an auto qualifer in the CFB tournament and then championship games will mean something. I liked the era of conference divisions. Bring back the Big10 West!

I had a great time playing in the inaugural #TadpoleBowl even though my team whiffed the final week (fell from 25th). Big thanks to @ericfroton.bsky.social and @scottfish.bsky.social for adding fantasy college football to the Fish Bowl landscape.

That botched FG attempt by Koo was like if you pulled someone from the stands to try and kick and never did it before.

Amazing to think a year ago the Twins and Jays were in about the same spot. 2023 playoff teams coming off disappointing 2024 seasons and questions whether to blow up their core. Things diverged very much thereafter.

Worse than Josh Rosen and Anthony Richardson (two other sub 55% Cmp% passers). Amazing.
J.J. McCarthy now ranks 851 out of 852 in EPA per Dropback among qualified passers since 2000, per Tru Media. The only player below McCarthy is JaMarcus Russell.

Also, how did the Vikings not sign a viable backup QB in the offseason? Flacco or whoever could have made them a playoff team or in the mix if McCarthy failed.
November 23, 2025 at 8:41 PM
J.J. McCarthy is basically Anthony Richardson without the rushing prowess at this point.

Northwestern finally got a late-game break, yes!

Really? They can't figure out how to move the Futures Game to Wed. or Thurs. when there are NO OTHER SPORTS on TV?
One change to the All-Star week schedule from MLB’s new TV deal with NBC: The first round of the MLB Draft was moved to Saturday (July 11, 2026), and the Futures Game shifts to Sunday (July 12).

Cowboys going zero RB and zero WR!
November 18, 2025 at 1:21 AM
How did the Vikings allow a kick return at the end of that game? Lock it out of the end zone. I don’t get that. A big return was your main worry.
November 16, 2025 at 9:06 PM
NU gets the turnover with about four minutes left. They line up in shotgun and throw the ball. I just don’t get that. Tough loss.
November 15, 2025 at 9:00 PM
The salary cap and other factors make the NFL trade deadline the hardest to do deals among pro sports, but a big reason also seems that GMs just don't seem to have a mentality of getting anything for expiring assets like other sports.
November 4, 2025 at 11:19 PM
Why didn’t the Vikings run all 3 downs and take off a minute off the clock with their last FG! Ugh
