No worries, good insights. If it's something that bothers you, it's probably worth looking into at least. Just knowing that the other parts of you are there and sometimes being able to hear them, I don't think is a problem. I'm certain we all have them, it's just unusual to be able to make them out.

I'm not normal, myself, so I'm pretty sure not everyone experiences it. I suppose the real kicker is how often it happens. Might be a problem if it's too loud too often.

You ever have moments where you spontaneously decide to do something - refill a drink, go to the bathroom - and so you immediately stand up, but your body freezes for a few seconds before it finally decides to actually walk? I think that's what's happening in those cases, too, we just can't hear it.

It is.

I'm not sure how normal it is to be aware that it's happening, but that's how our brains work. Every decision is a fight among different compartments with their own priorities. Usually quietly, but sometimes they get loud for me, too. That's when the Ego has to step in and clear things up.

Like, the food you would currently be able to acquire in that area? If so, it barely matters. If not, how far back are we talking? Because if it's where the food is FROM from and you don't pick G or F, you will never have potatoes or sugar again, and if you don't pick D, you can't have chicken.
