Jack's tenure at twitter is the model everyone assumes social media is like at its best: vaguely-enforced rules, full of nazis who demand to be heard because of "free speech", out of control harrassment campaigns, etc. but that's actually the abberation.

I sometimes wonder if bluesky is, too, a transitory website to post on, what with its owners being way too close to the same silicon valley cultism as twitter was. ideally we'll one day find our way to a non-american website and not all be subject to america's censorious laws anymore
