it does feel like there's no real "central" news sources for indie games, like there was at one point, and it's just kinda tacked on to AAA games reporting.

many years ago I read this blog called indiegames blog (descriptive title) and it was my home page and it covered a lot of stuff before it had to shut down. as for the sheer quantity of indie games, there was loads of them back then too, but they weren't all worth a big write-up

I do genuinely think this problem is solvable with maybe a small sites-worth of people, I think money is the real issue, as it's harder to launch a site or even a blog

1. The gaming press has been decimated by business suits, and the whims of an uncaring search engine behemoth
2. Doing the job means you get death threats and harassment
3. There are more games released in 1 week than there were in entire months in 2015

I only tend to break my first string ("the only string you need") and so I have loads of packs lying around containing loads of unused strings in lower sizes with only the first taken out
