Figured I'd immigrate here in the circumstance the 'other place' sinks itself. Just to give the folks a taste of what I do, here's a couple samples, ay?

From the get-go, Comet and 7000 could never stand each other. 7000 sees Comet as a gaudy old relic from a long gone era who ought to be kept off a scale layout. Likewise, Comet sees 7000 as a brute who obsesses entirely too much over imitating something he ultimately isn't.

I figure he'd have the locomotive equivalent of cardiac arrest. He's that much of a stickler.

The start of all his woes began one day when his owner pulled out something out from a corner of the basement and plonked it and it's track on a vacant section of the layout. It was some tacky old thing covered in bright enamel paint and wrapped in brass. 7000 hated it the very moment he saw it.

It's 7000's very purpose to imitate a real locomotive, right down to a locomotive's fiery temperament. Likewise, he has no patience for 'pale imitations.' Namely those from the MPC era, and 'starter set fodder' as he calls them.

I felt compelled to finish up Comet's least favorite guy. No. 7000 is Comet's polar opposite in every conceivable way. The finest and most detailed you could possibly ask for from a model locomotive, with a hefty price tag to match.

But you see, his two (2) emotional breakdowns at the church are clearly evidence for Ralsei being evil all along. This theory makes perfect sense and certainly won't make for a lame and uninteresting plot twist.

I've been asked at least once if I'd ever do an audio adaptation of the Mason Dixon series. Well, I cobbled together something over the weekend as a proof-of-concept. While it didn't turn out how I would've liked it to, I wouldn't mind getting some thoughts.
