If you are a liberal in deep blue territory, one thing you could try doing right now is figuring out how to replace your Democratic member of Congress next year. With very few exceptions, the typical safe seat Dem is not meeting the moment. Find someone who will and help them.

🚨 The Trump administration has once again targeted our community—this time by removing "Transgender" and "Queer" from National Park Service websites and historical sites. This is not just a bureaucratic change; it’s an act of erasure.

My #utpol friends (and those politics curious)! With the Utah legislature kicking off next week? Your elected reps and senators will be having town halls, starting this weekend!

Look 'em up and show up! Introduce yourself as a constituent! Weigh in on bills! Some lawmakers even bring donuts!

Thread: “we must reclaim the idea of the future; we must tell people a story and give them a picture of that better world we are building together”
i've been thinking lately about the loss of the future--not in the historical sense, because the future just keeps on coming--but the loss of the future in the ideological sense, the loss of the future as an organizing principle of politics

this is as true of liberals as it is of the left

I have been compiling a list of those who died of AIDS-related causes in Utah as best I can. Well over 1,000 died from 1983 through the early 2000s. Can’t wait to incorporate these items into my research.

There have been a lot of times where I feel like we need to have honest discussions on the left about what has worked and what hasn’t, share observations without judgement, but it feels like there isn’t much space for it. I think it’s holding us back.

I wonder how and where we can accomplish that.

“Just as coming out in the 1970s and 1980s was a form of political resistance, speaking out and standing together today is crucial,” writes Utah historian Randell Hoffman.

But it went from being supported by 52 Dems to just 15.

Time to get on your Senator's case and halt the bill there.

We need a real organizer and machine builder. Laser focused.

Yes, fundraising is crucial, but we need someone who can build the infrastructure for resources to be deployed effectively.

I want someone with a record of knowing how to WIN with working people and preserving our values. They exist!
What are you looking for in the next DNC chairperson, that can help us win in 2026 and beyond?
