It's always courteous to ask first if you're unsure.
I personally always represent a vrc group that puts a banner above my head that says "headpat me" which in my mind gives people the consent w/out needing to ask.

If you have Bakery, can you try getting the latest github patch and using it?
Add "Bakery Light Filter" component to an object to make it act like stained glass 😋
(video from RTPreview for fanciness, but it looks the same when baked)

World creators, remember that VRChat worlds can be anything. They don't need to have YouTube or mirrors, nor even be made with people in mind.

You can put yourself into them. A simple idea, a vibe or an emotion you want others to understand.

They can be art.

And maybe it's better when they are.

Most people aren't even going to see the 4k part anyways due to how mipmaps work so I usually keep hair at 2k or 1k tho.

Unity defaults textures to 2k when importing, even if the image is 4k. You can set it back in the import settings at the bottom of the inspector for each image. Though if you do, keep in mind that 4k is pretty memory intensive.

pro tip for vrchat avatar creators

with your facial gestures, make the avatar's mouth reset whenever the voice parameter isn't 0! this way, speaking will never look weird.

i handle the face in two separate layers, one for the eyes and one for the mouth so i can still give the eyes extra motion.

Sadly if making assets is the creator's main source of income they might not be able to support less popular bases as taking the time to do that might mean less money coming in and now they can't make rent.

I agree that with the introduction of group publics I've definitely noticed a significant drop in vote to kicks.

Does make me wonder if a kick from the vtk system and a kick from a group mod count the same in the nuisance system or not.
