The only time I sky dove was tandem. After the chute opened the instructor unhooked this clip that adjusted me like 4 inches lower so he could see, but he didn't tell me and for a split second I thought he cut me loose. So this story hits close to home and reminds me of my .002 seconds of terror.

At least the 2021 model 3 has a manual door release on the inside for the driver and passenger. Not 100% sure it's in the back too. It's kind of hidden by the window controls.
