What a weekend that was! There are a lot of photos, so here's a taster.
I spent a weekend in Pembrokeshire with friends for an early Christmas get-together. We also spent some time in Fishguard, Haverfordwest and St David's exploring the area.

I see Oxfordshire County Council have been going about removing bus shelters. The two I've noticed are Lincoln Rd on Abingdon Rd, and Beechcroft Rd on Woodstock Rd. Not forgetting St Margaret's Rd West (inbound), which was destroyed 2+ years ago with no replacement.

Keir Starmer is right. The death penalty is never the answer for any country. It’s inhumane, costly & doesn’t deter crime. It has no place in the civilised world. Most of Europe abolished the death penalty decades ago & has been better, safer without it:

Over in Cheltenham, I've just used the recently revised 10 bus. It now provides better connections to the shops and restaurants on Bath Road, which makes perfect sense.
Unfortunately, the service is still not reliable with buses regularly running in pairs. Roadworks are the main cause of this.

Extra bus services are great, but they need extra infrastructure to support them.
Having multiple buses being scheduled to use the same stop at the same time is far too common and bad for those who use buses.

I counted 7 buses at the main entrance to the JR Hospital just now. Some at their appropriate stop, but many having to just find a space to park and drop off.
While it’s good to see services increase, the infrastructure both here and at the railway station, needs improving.

Day 2 of the 3/3A buses serving Oxford station, and there are now DEFINITELY too many buses here.
There isn't room on their bus stop, so they fill up everywhere else instead. 🙄

On my dog walk I often chat with right wingers. I pretend I am an ex-Reform voter put off by the utter fuck up of our county council. Then they see me as one of their own, don't get defensive and shouty, and start to question their own opinion of Reform. Honey, not vinegar.
