Nice to know Sir Keir Starmer shares Donald's values of freedom & democracy.

Here is one of Sir Keir's vids from yesterday.
Shit message, shit video editing. Starmer waffles on, Darren Jones looking up like a loyal puppy - cut to shot of some minister, his face obscured, clicking his ballpen in & out, so inspired is he by the words of his mighty leader.

Another deeply concerning allegation, the latest in a long line of apparent commercial and political lobbying against protest movements, some of which has led to the extremely repressive legislation we now face.
Powerful lobbyists are the bane of democracy.

Excellent work from George Monbiot.
Starmer's humourless racist clones are going to hate this.

At @fightingdirty.bsky.social, we sued over this issue, and lost on the grounds that the Environment Agency couldn't be in breach because the government had issued no direction. An absurdity, which means that poisons continue to be spread on farmland every day. 🧵

He's right.
But also: this was exactly how some of us warned the Terrorism Act 2000 would be used when it was passed, by the government in which Peter Hain was a minister. He and all the others either ignored or dismissed our warnings. It's very frustrating.
