Loves films, books, eating out, wine, coffee, history, metal, horror, Berlin and Copenhagen, cats and dogs. Despise Tories and Brexit.
I love watching the BIG bands backstage before they go on like Metallica. The ones at the top. The attention to detail and staff doing anything and everything for them.

Watching two favourite films tonight, The Lovely Bones and Mission to Lars. The latter is particularly amazing and touching and funny with lots of Metallica in it.

Watching Green Book tonight. I love that film so much. I love Viggo too in everything he does. Brilliant actor.

I loved the two recent classic horror films of recent times, Nosferatu and Frankenstein. Both gorgeous costumes and set designs and make up etc. can’t decide which one I preferred.

I’m very much enjoying Frankenstein and he isn’t unattractive. 😅😅😅😅

Jesus Christ. A plane just flew over Murrayfield for the rugby that was 10 times louder than the Tattoo ones. I’m bloody shaking.

Watched two docs today on Andrew and Hurricane Katrina. Both make me sick. The powerful always pissing on the poor and needy and vulnerable. And you know what, we’ll still vote for them and bow and grovel to them. 😡😡😡😡

Watching The Woman in Black. The film is ok but not a patch on the theatre show. I’ve seen it on stage about 6 or 7 times and it still terrifies me.

I bought one of these chocolate and cherry choux buns from Cafe Nero today to take home and just tried a bit. OMG it’s exquisite.

Feel a bit guilty coming home for the day now as weather is glorious out- bright sun, blue sky and just a hint of cold. I should be walking along Portobello Promenade or something.

My partner is sending me photos of Reykjavik cats right now. Gorgeous.

This not grabbing me as much as the last two I read, but it’s intriguing enough.

Got up early and out for coffee with my book.

Watched The Naked Civil Servant again. Really, John Hurt’s performance in it was just up there with the best. Lovely and touching tale.

It’s quite the joy going record shopping for my partner. His favourite record store, vastly helpful and knowledgable staff and unusual and interesting vinyl.

Obviously, nothing in this analysis of X's data surprises me, but I am still sad and disappointed that Twitter, a tool I loved, where I met so many great people, has been so ruined by just 1 person.
Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

Jesus some fireworks just went off literally next to my flat and I’m shaking. Felt really frightened at the closeness. The poor animals nearby.

So worth a watch. The smoking, the posh voices, the “men should have a competition as to which female has the loveliest legs at the Christmas party” suggested by a female. 🤯
BBC Two - Man Alive, The Office Party
Documentary made in 1969 about that year's Christmas office party at a London ad agency.

Went into one of my local pubs with a friend to wait for her train and they were showing cage fighting on all the TVs. Not my favourite thing to view or the vibe in the place.

I loved the Black Sabbath Ballet last night. Amazing dancers, amazing music and a great audience totally into it.

Just watched the film Weapons. A hard one to describe but I loved it. Very original and gory in places.

Saw this dress in town today and wanted it so much but not sure if I can justify spending a lot on something I’d hardly wear. Might not suit me either I suppose.

Spooky season continues. Out for coffee soon and loving this book too.
