It’s now the second time a Georgian protester has been arrested simply for standing on a raised platform in front of Parliament. This time it’s Isako Devidze.

There’s no law banning this — and outside protest hours, I bet any citizen can stand there freely.

Georgian Dream is now openly jailing protesters over Facebook posts. Ia Melitauri got 4 days. Police claim she swore at officers during protests but have no video evidence. Days earlier they questioned another woman about Ia’s post—then arrested Ia too. The judge read her posts aloud in court.

A video recently went viral of GD MP Eka Chichinadze chairing a parliamentary committee while chewing gum and struggling to read a doc.

Turns out, she’s a multimillionaire who admitted a few years ago that she has never worked a day in her life. She is a close friend of Ivanishvili and his wife.

This is Luka Khizadze, a Georgian student, during his arrest today.

He had been detained on administrative charges just a few days ago and only recently released. During today’s peaceful march, he led the crowd with a megaphone, urging cooperation and calm toward police.

Georgian political prisoner and journalist Mzia Amaghlobeli has completely lost vision in one eye while in jail due to keratoconus. In the other eye, only 10% vision remains.

According to GYLA, despite many requests, Mzia is still denied exams and specialist consultations.

Last night, police arrested at least 10 people without any legal grounds.

The Georgian Dream regime crossed a new line: they’ve arrested a journalist while he was working. TV Pirveli’s Giorgi Mamniashvili is now in holding. Previously, detained journalists were released quickly — seen as a clear warnings to the press.

Police have just arrested at least five people during a peaceful march in Tbilisi, among them Mariam Mekantsishvili.

Mariam had previously faced criminal charges for “organizing group violence” and was released on bail. This is a new, unrelated arrest.
