The primary question this paper poses is: how do we plan for a more just future when the future is uncertain? In response, we develop transport scenarios for the future in the City of Cape based on stakeholder engagement and develop accessibility models for each scenario 2/4

Emails from predatory journals used to annoy me, now I take a moment to appreciate their words of praise, before swiftly hitting the delete and junk button #academicchatter #takewhatyoucan #research

I will never understand a reviewer who is condescending, or belittling… the review process is indeed meant to be a form of assessment, but also, academic debate…. What is there to be gained by degrading authors who might have worked months if not years on a piece of work? #academicchatter #academia

Got this today! Some backstory: the first journal I applied to with this article desk rejected it - it's now one of the most viewed articles in @geog-analysis.bsky.social published in 2023! Key to the academic publishing process is grit, this is your sign to just keep going... #academia #publishing

Help bring beauty to our bike lanes! Call for Artists now open for Toronto’s Concrete Barriers Mural Program to create works of art on cycle track barriers across the city. Since 2018 over 1,000 barriers have been hand painted or wrapped in designs by local artists. Details at tinyurl.com/dyhxknru
A city street scene featuring a decorative concrete barrier with a floral design, a tram track, and modern buildings. Pedestrians are visible on the sidewalk, and a vehicle can be seen in the distance.

How can a private citizen be given this much power ? Where are the institutions that are meant to be protecting the state from this kind of manipulation?

Charing Cross Road, pedestrianised today. Glorious. Because whenever you take cars away, cities get better.
