There's a quality of the original's VFX that feels more tangible despite not being as technically advanced as the sequels.

Yes, but unfortunately *who* is watching, the online left? My grandma is not streaming it from a Bluesky link.

“I can’t believe we actually built that,” I say, proudly gesturing with my Bordelaise-coated fork to the shining tower in the distance.

“Ah well- Another Pinot, dear?”

Of all the Civ 7 victories, Culture was hit the hardest in the new iteration, but its victory video is the most satisfying.

After conquering the world with our culture, let's simply relax on a balcony with some bread and wine and bask in the joie de vivre.

Religion does make slotting the relics easier because you can get either 2 slots on each temple or slots on science buildings. Otherwise slotting them all in temples gets expensive.

I’m not even going to publish a copy of Trumps comments about Reiner and his wife. But occasionally he reminds me that he is simply one of the worst, most degenerate individuals who has ever existed in American public life. Hard to think of any more vicious, vile and sociopathic.

I enjoy civil discourse about The Last Jedi because it’s an overall good movie, fun to watch, and yet fascinatingly throws wrenches in the spokes of the rest of the trilogy.

Never thought about that before but now I agree. 👍

Just a series of mistakes about the villain because they were unwilling to commit to a single path.

Hux would make more logical sense but he was written too comedic, and thematically he represented the bureaucratic neofascism instead of that Sith/power seduction, so the whole story is different.

I assume the deadlines came from Disney so I’m giving it to them.

IMHO
1 Empire
2 Rogue One
3 New Hope
4 Revenge of the Sith
5 Return of the Jedi
6 Solo
7 Last Jedi
8 Force Awakens
9 Attack of the Clones
10 Rise of Skywalker
11 Phantom Menace

1. Just my humble opinions
2. Best of the sequels
3. Pointed in a more interesting, adult direction than 7 & 9
4. Setup ROS’s villain problem when Disney didn’t follow through with Kylo as the villain
5. Emblematic of the sequels’ lack of narrative planning and cooperation between directors
