Halloween. When everyone becomes just a little more trans.

A profound loss today. The work of #JaneGoodall has been a beacon of light in my life. Her example taught me that advocacy rooted in empathy and persistence is not only possible but essential, and that one person’s voice, sustained over time, can shift hearts, communities, and policy.

it’s Sunday on bluesky so I am urging everyone to take care of themselves. Take a walk, have a second cup of coffee or tea, read a book, spend some time looking at small poems

This may be the turning point into real action or a scape goat of blame against the Queer and Trans community. While I am deeply disturbed by the murder of Charlie Kirk, I am even more worried about the ripple effects of where we go from here. Action is needed. Gun control now.

As famine spreads in Gaza, UNICEF and other aid groups say Israel is still blocking most aid from entering the devastated Palestinian territory.

Seattle isn’t doing enough for Gaza.
It’s time to divest from Boeing’s war profits.
Support our Palestinian neighbors.
Support candidates who stand for justice.
To every candidate: speak up. Silence is violence. 🍉💙

This weekend I interviewed @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social and @ryontheryse.bsky.social who are both running to be the next Mayor of Seattle

They both demonstrated a care for the working class that @bruceforseattle.bsky.social clearly does not have

How many jobs would you have turned down if you knew what the workplace was really like?
Seattle workers need better tools to speak up—and customers deserve to know which businesses treat their people right.

Why the hell doesn’t Seattle have a 24/7 light rail? In a city with fewer and fewer parking options- this is how can we help our hospitality, night shift workers, and nightlife enjoyers get home safely. Expand the Light Rail and keep it running past 1 am! #Seattle #transit #fyp #lightrail #1line

What is happening in Los Angeles is not the values of this country. Unfortunately I think this is just the beginning of seeing Trump militarize blue cities and we need leaders standing up for our communities right now. As Mayor of Seattle, I will fight for our right to protest.
