I used the Swiss Travel Pass. It's very convenient and I highly recommend it! It covers trains and buses, and also gives you free admission to many museums.
Day 7: Had a short stay in Zürich before heading back home to Japan. Switzerland was truly a beautiful country — I’ll definitely come back someday! 🇨🇭✈️
Day 6: After a lovely morning walk around Lake St. Moritz, I took the Bernina Express from St. Moritz to Tirano! 🚂 The views were absolutely fantastic — mountains, lakes, and the train itself made for the perfect scenery!
Day 5: Visited St. Gallen, famous for its stunning cathedral and beautiful library — a reminder of the importance of preserving knowledge.📚📚📚 Had a St. Galler bratwurst for lunch — surprisingly light and gone in no time! 😋
Day 4: Enjoyed a beautiful walk through the Lavaux vineyards! 🍇 The wine tasting was unforgettable — I loved the Chasselas. Later in Vevey, I came across a giant fork stuck in the Lake Léman — part of the Alimentarium museum. Fascinating place to learn all about food! 🍽️
Visited the Berner Oberland and Jungfraujoch 🏔️ The view from the Top of Europe was breathtaking! Hiking from Männlichen and Eigergletscher to Kleine Scheidegg was unforgettable — nothing beats that mountain air and scenery!

I had a wonderful time at a research conference held in Kyoto! Great talks by extinguished respiratory researchers in Japan and researchers from the US were truly exciting. I’ve got motivated to start research in the near future!
