Screenshotted from my Instagram but I will ALWAYS share a Carlos Delgado graphic that has him as a catcher. Dude was a solid catcher that converted to OF and shortly after 1B where he mashed 473 career homeruns during the steroid era, clean as a whistle. Journaled every AB too. Needs to be in HoF!

I expect Roki Sasaki to decide on his home before the start of the new year. I think the Mets will pull off the surprise signing, they’ve been laying the groundwork down for years behind the scenes in Japan. Very happy with the Manaea deal. Mets really needed to get a top end starter in order to feel comfortable with the rotation heading into 2025. I don’t think the Mets focus on adding another SP, however, this signing doesn’t take them out of the Sasaki sweepstakes. Don’t rule out a trade either.

Not a huge fan of the Griffin Canning signing but there’s potential there for a decent back end starter, but Christian Walker signing with the Astros most likely strengthens the possibility of a Mets reunion with Pete Alonso

Sold my Mickey mantle card and then realized I didn’t have my printer here in Brooklyn so no problem - in Syracuse I had the post office scan the QR code and it takes 2 seconds for them to print it and you’re on your way. Not here in Brooklyn. 1 hour+ in line bc of two peoples money orders. 🤪

I have softened my stance on Pete. While I really want Vladdy, I think the obvious being that we would still need to pull of a trade to make that happen and supplanting another star level player in a new home might be tough on chemistry. Pete might play better due to Soto taking some of the weight

Pretty cool that the first press conference at Citi Field I have to work for the Mets is for the signing of Juan Soto. My 12 year old self would be going absolutely bananas right now but I have to be professional😂
