Yeah but its not as simple as just keeping one shape darker than the shape behind it. Just as a micro example here you can see the way I intentionally shift which value is light and which is dark within the same shape. I try to find and capitalize on every opportunity I can for this sorta thing.

I am saying this gently, but trolls in World of Warcraft are coded as BIPOC. When talking about them or writing for them, it's good to be mindful of certain stereotypes that are rooted in real racism against BIPOC and try and avoid them. These characters did not write themselves.
