The interview with Eric Blanc is particularly good. It shouldn’t be controversial given the lessons of history; socialism in the US is only possible through the ballot box and electoral success requires a proven record of actually making life better for people. Sewer socialists for the win!

I’d frame it slightly differently: ”[Since] Republicans keep blocking legislation to cut housing costs, Democrats will pass it ourselves when we take back Congress.”
Trump claims he wants to lower housing costs, but his allies in the House just axed a bipartisan bill that UNANIMOUSLY passed the Senate to do just that.

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

I read the second Trump election as a protest against Biden’s fecklessness (apparently due to age) in the later part of his term, not a repudiation of the party. Yesterday’s triumph makes me wonder what would have happened if Biden had chosen to retire and we had had a real primary.
