A Navy Captain; which Sen. Kelly is; is an O-6. A very senior officer.

An Army Captain is an O-3. A relatively junior officer.

An Army Major; which Sec. Hegseth was; is an O-4.

I hope he saluted Capt. Kelly before and after lecturing him on “good order & discipline.”

I know nothing about this guy except what’s written here, and that he knows an illegal order. But I’d love to learn more about him in a political campaign. Real leaders, please. www.southcom.mil/About/Leader...

SEN. KELLY : “They informed me of this in a tweet because this is not about the law. This is about the media cycle, and intimidation… We basically repeated the uniform code of military justice, and they're saying that's in violation of it. It's absurd. Comical.”

Just overheard a Trump cabinet undersecretary bragging over dinner in a restaurant about his nefarious business entanglements. What a town.

Mike Kafka and Patrick Mahomes are both in overtime right now. If they're still together as coach and player, both are already in their street clothes as winners.

I love Patrick Mahomes. But he's playing less predatory than ever seen him.

How about we look at them together and I do a piece?
My grandfathers competed in the 1936 Olympics. I have been waiting for the centennial (2036), but I think I need to revisit (and maybe publish) some of their letters home sooner, rather than later.
EXCLUSIVE: The organizing committee for the upcoming LA Olympics is hiring a bench of Trump allies to serve on its board..

As Pat Summitt once said to me, "I'm just a PE teacher."
I've been a sports fan for life, my favorite team has a great coach (manager), and even so, I agree with the epithet "gym teachers".
Public universities are on course to pay fired football coaches more than $1 billion in severance in the last 10 years. Repeat, a BILLION dollars to a handful of fired gym teachers. My suggestion for fixing this: regulate the spenders, not the players.

Yes -- it's essentially a luxury tax! The NCAA is asking Congress for an antitrust exemption. Make it conditional -- on THIS.
Sure, that’s a version of the NBA and MLB excessive payroll taxes. Could only be collectively bargained though, the salary cap comes from a court settlement involving representatives for the players, as you know.

Sick to death of half measures that rarely fix anything. Make schools act like schools again -- like nonprofits defined as educational. Tie the spending back to academics. Quit letting them act like tumors growing out of the sides of their universities. www.theatlantic.com/culture/2025...

Ghislaine Maxwell is a child rapist who assaulted girls as young as 14. And she is getting special favors in federal prison, including room service and use of a private office.
