I'm hard core tired of everything being ridiculous but honestly, even though I agree Britain should rejoin the EU (fully, btw) 76% of an unknown number could be anything.

The EPA will approve two new pesticides containing “forever chemicals” and relax a reporting rule for companies who make products with forever chemicals.

The moves come after a $60 million lobbying blitz from the forever chemical industry.

Where is the MAHA outcry?

I'm prepping to do something so hard right now. I have to basically rewrite the second half of my book. I hope a lot of what's there already will still work, but it's not guaranteed.

'A new set of forest towns will be built in the area between Oxford and Cambridge, nestled in the middle of a new national forest'.
These are charter cities and are being set up in deregulated SEZs.
Yet again, The Guardian omits to investigate the truth.

An investigation into Russian interference in our politics is long overdue. And we all know who should be questioned first.

I've had gmail forever, but honestly fuck those greedy fascist mfs. So now if you use smart features at all, all your email is scanned by AI, including all attachments. If you turn off smart features all your inboxes collapse into one big mountain of detritus. It's unbearable either way.

Hey, writers/ readers of fantasy. A venerable lady author I know has written a short story she says is Icelandic fantasy. She's looking for a suitable place to submit it. She was my teacher in grad school, has written several novels, many short stories, but the magazines she used to are not there. >

7 Allegations Against Meta in Newly Unsealed Filings
Court filings allege Meta tolerated sex trafficking, hid harms to teens, and prioritized growth over user safety for years.

I'm thinking about writing an article about friendship in the time of the polycrisis. Thoughts? Not just having friends but also about losing friends. And the difficulties of maintaining friendships in these circumstances. It's a plague, right? We are social beings and losing friends is tragic.
