Polanski gets a lot of stick for calling Fromage a fascist, but people don’t understand that Fascism doesn’t pounce, it creeps in…..just like this for example

I’m so enjoying the ‘share owning democracy’ that I was promised by Thatcher and all her like-minded decedents. Seems Starmer is a particular fan🤮

Especially as some atrocities are subject to a government imposed scale of importance.

Also Lorna, the whole ‘Topic’ thing merits a long reply! But what about ‘when it was good it was brilliant, but when it was bad it was horrible’?
A great topic required huge amounts of thought and preparation that wasn’t there when SAT concerns took over.
Too simplistic I know, but I am simple.

The move from teacher led PE to ‘coaches’ with nets of footballs was a huge step backwards.
Eady to decry stuff like ‘Music and movement’, but it helped develop balance, weight transference, spatial awareness and more that could then be transferable to formal games. (PS Not all coaches are poor)

But I’d still like to see a list of Streeting’s backers

Ah yes the power of the story….and those wonderful teachers who through stories invited children into the their own world of experiences and enthusiasms!

Why were the cabinet all clutching little union jacks during Starmer’s speech?
saltednuts.bsky.social
In other news can we just check out Streeting’s donations

In their pomp, Primary Schools were joyous places full of songs, painting, drama and nature. Practically everyone left being able to read and enjoy books, understand number, basic Maths and with a deep curiosity about science.
Some are hanging on but many have become pre-exam factory faculties.

I used to be OK with the periodic ID card debate, but that was when I saw govt as generally benign But now they are a bunch of corrupt genocidal nut-jobs in the pay of the highest bidder and as trustworthy as my dog with a packet of biscuits; they can shove their ID card where the sun doesn’t shine

Anybody still on job willing to jot down tests/screening activities currently endured by our poor kids?

I started writing a list of well-considered reasons for raging against a Y8 reading test.
However I got to reason 5 and I was raging.
Why are politicians such total dicks? Who the hell advises them?
saltednuts.bsky.social
And solve recruitment issues obvs.
Who advises these clowns?

I’m pretty damn sick of Trump’s rantings being given exposure and credence by ‘our’ National Broadcaster.
saltednuts.bsky.social
Exactly
The time wasted on comprehensive and frequently unread HT reports to Govs is ludicrous.
