a key thing about vought — and all of these guys — is that they have a totally top down and hierarchical vision of the world. they believe that the cultural changes they hate can be turned off by destroying the federal government because they can’t imagine that they emerged bottom-up in society

What he’s railing against is a profound shift in culture, status… He’s obsessed with the idea that America is controlled by a leftist “ruling elite” - but “elite” isn’t defined socio-economically or by political power, it means something like: Getting to define “real America” and who gets to belong.

Just a reminder that dominating possession is not necessarily a winning strategy. #nffc.
Stats for game showing Mexico dominating possession but losing cuatro a cero.

My pepper plant is so pretty just before season's end.

ICE secretly kidnap autistic boy during bathroom break—never notify parents.

Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone.

I'm so proud of everyone from my old neighborhood of Rogers Park in Chicago. I see what you have been and are doing. I am so proud of how organized the community is and how much more so everyone is becoming. It is inspiring. Just one example... And this is something EVERYONE can do. Everyone.
Informational flyer about Rogers Park Whistle Protocols, explaining how to use whistles to alert neighbors of emergencies, with color-coded alerts, steps for use, and encouragement to form a crowd and stay loud for safety.

Fascinating how the feral swine respect the California-Nevada border like that.

here is the current tactical map of where feral swine populations have consolidated

the major worry is if the Canadian superhogs end up making their way down south and breeding with the American hogs

I remain of the opinion that #SCOTUS, far more than #POTUS, is the real threat to democracy and the United States. Trump will one day be gone, but this court will be around for decades thwarting every progressive inclination and constitutionalizing conservative fever dreams. The court must reformed.
atrupar.com
"The Supreme Court has made clear that it will allow Trump to violate every constitutional prohibition, removing any obstacle in his way, and crediting the most farcical legal argument."
Trump is the insurrection
And the Supreme Court's conservatives are his shock troops.

If you are a WHITE mom or dad who is a US citizen it's time to check with your neighbors and see if you can pick up their kids at school when you get your kids.

I’m not autistic, just a parent to an autistic kid w/ fairly significant support needs, but I personally find it very frustrating to see so many people fixated on preventing, reducing, or “curing” autism and neurodiversity instead of talking about inclusion + getting folks whatever support they need

Something tells me that Lindsay Halligan is going to eventually face some serious reckoning when all this is over. Does she not think the pendulum can ever swing a different way?

It's a little unsettling to listen to national public radio and feel the Overton window being picked and moved rightward. Looking at you On Point...

...sigh...like every other politician. But gawd forbid she don't as a woman.
saltlakelawyer.bsky.social
You misunderstand. I think Katie is fine, certainly the best choice for governor. But my comments about this "angry woman" narrative are far broader. They aren't limited to her. Broader point here.
saltlakelawyer.bsky.social
That didn't get nearly the same level of coverage and certainly didn't have the gendered ctlrticism...at all. It was chalked up to his stroke...the media covered for him in fact. Nice try, but no.

Agenda? What fucking agenda would I have here? Lol.

Again, some wild projecting going here. You really should think about seeing somebody about those feelings. Doesn't seem healthy.

Still haven't received a response to this. If the shoe fits.... And yes, women can also engage in sexism, if that wasn't already clear.

Apropos of nothing, can anyone name a male politician who has faced any serious scrutiny in the last say, 10 years, for being "rude to staffers" or "angry."

Bonus points if you can name one in the history of time who has been criticized publicly for a messy kitchen.

Crowdsourcing for an argument.

Well this ought to be...interesting?!? It'll be interesting to find out what "consumer protection" Utah thinks it offers given that objectively we are one of the least regulated states, leading to nationally leading levels of fraud against individuals.
