This is a #pig literally losing her mind after being confined to a space so small, she can't even turn around... for MONTHS on end. 😡

Pigs are smarter than dogs, yet face THIS cruelty.

Animal ag is a horror show for farm animals. 😩

I'm in Ontario and my gastroenterologist has passed me over to a private clinic where they want $295 and hour 😡 I've contacted my MP, Alexa Gilmour over this. @kbardeesy.bsky.social

Anyone can become disabled.

Anyone can become chronically ill.

It’s not a choice. It’s not a moral failing. It’s not something you can “try harder” your way out of.

You can be the healthiest person in the world & completely disabled in an instant.

It’s a minority group you can join anytime.

The “tired” you feel when chronically ill is very different than a healthy person’s version of “tired”.

A healthy person can take a nap and feel 100%.

They can have a coffee and perk up.

We are tired 24/7. Sleep doesn’t fix it. Rest doesn’t fix it. It’s soul destroying.

Their bodies are numbered 👺So are their days… 💔Soon their miserable lives in this shit hole of a fHarm will be over. Their slaughterhouse experience will be horrifying. When are you stopping to finance animal abuse? #LiveVegan because you don’t want to harm animals🌱

“Why can’t you just it? It’s not that hard”

We’ve all heard this when we say “no” to a non disabled person.

They don’t understand why we’re saying no. They don’t understand that something “easy” to them could wreck us.

Please be kind when disabled people say “no”. We’re the experts in our bodies.

Victim blaming helps the privileged keep their power.

Got raped? You were asking for it.

Disabled? You didn’t take care of yourself.

Getting deported? Should have followed the process.

Don’t make enough money? Should have made better choices.

Stop blaming the oppressed.

From 2011. The first time I played Santa for the kids Christmas party in my building. I was SO NERVOUS. But they never suspected. It was so much fun 😁 and I did it three times. #Santa #Christmas #Christmasparty

People think disability is something you can “try harder” your way out of

They think it’ll never happen to them, or if it does they will overcome

They refuse to listen to disabled voices

They refuse to help build better safety nets

They refuse to care

Anyone can become disabled.

Anyone can become chronically ill.

Anyone can become homeless.

These are not moral failings.

They can happen in an instant, often when you least expect it.

It just takes one accident or illness to change your life forever.

As well as threats from Trump. We also have threats from people here in Canada that want to dismantle our health care system and education. #Heathcare #medicare

Here's my test to determine whether or not you are living in an authoritarian state:

The politicians you elect are too busy worrying about what "THE LEADER" thinks, rather than paying attention to what the voters are complaining about.

Invisible disabilities exist.

Dynamic disability is a thing.

Ambulatory wheelchair users are a thing.

Accommodations and assistive devices are not always static.

Sometimes they’re needed in certain situations and not others.

We know our bodies best and don’t deserve to be questioned.

“Why does that person need a mobility scooter, I’ve seen people who are worse and they soldier on”

“Why did they use a wheelchair at the airport & then walk onto the plane?”

“Why do they have a disability placard they look fine!”

The answer to all is it’s none of your business.
