A healthy person can take a nap and feel 100%.
They can have a coffee and perk up.
We are tired 24/7. Sleep doesn’t fix it. Rest doesn’t fix it. It’s soul destroying.
We’ve all heard this when we say “no” to a non disabled person.
They don’t understand why we’re saying no. They don’t understand that something “easy” to them could wreck us.
Please be kind when disabled people say “no”. We’re the experts in our bodies.

Got raped? You were asking for it.
Disabled? You didn’t take care of yourself.
Getting deported? Should have followed the process.
Don’t make enough money? Should have made better choices.
Stop blaming the oppressed.

They think it’ll never happen to them, or if it does they will overcome
They refuse to listen to disabled voices
They refuse to help build better safety nets
They refuse to care
It’s a minority group you can join anytime

Anyone can become chronically ill.
Anyone can become homeless.
These are not moral failings.
They can happen in an instant, often when you least expect it.
It just takes one accident or illness to change your life forever.

The politicians you elect are too busy worrying about what "THE LEADER" thinks, rather than paying attention to what the voters are complaining about.

Dynamic disability is a thing.
Ambulatory wheelchair users are a thing.
Accommodations and assistive devices are not always static.
Sometimes they’re needed in certain situations and not others.
We know our bodies best and don’t deserve to be questioned.
“Why did they use a wheelchair at the airport & then walk onto the plane?”
“Why do they have a disability placard they look fine!”
The answer to all is it’s none of your business.

This is not your parents’ Conservative Party — And Brian Mulroney agrees. #cdnpoli

It would take an Amazon driver 45 days to earn what a union buster can make in an 8 hour shift.
This is why you should boycott Amazon

This should not be controversial.
They shouldn’t have to have “thought ahead” and purchased disability insurance.
They shouldn’t have to beg, grovel and “prove their worth”.
They shouldn’t left to die.
We are not expendable
Disabled people deserve housing.
Disabled people deserve food.
Disabled people deserve support.
Our ability to work and produce for capitalism should not determine our value.
Disability is not a moral failing. Most people will experience it someday.
