People say I have an "NPR accent" and that when I say f*ck you can hear the "c" and the "k." I write grants, stories, reports, essays, and scripts. I will show you fear in a handful of deadlines. Development Manager with Escape Artists Foundation. He/Him
Every American conservative perspective eventually just devolves into, “You just don’t understand my argument.”

We should assemble fans of Welcome to Night Vale to follow ICE around pointing and gravely intoning, “Interloper.”

Why I would make a lousy politician: (Knocks door) “I’m a policy and political junky and would hate this job. Please don’t vote for me. I will represent you if I have to. Have a good day.”

Senate Democrats: That was worse than a crime. It was a mistake.

@smith.senate.gov and @amyklobuchar.com thank you for not betraying us.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has tanked and Republican suffered heavy losses in last week’s elections. There’s never been a better time for Senate Democrats to cave on the ACA extension.

What the hell do you think you’re doing, @schumer.senate.gov? Are you seriously arranging another surrender when you have leverage? Please resign. You have proven again and again that you are not up to the critical role of leading the opposition party when the country needs it most.

I'm hearing the same thing. Dems are nearing a surrender. I'm shocked. Largest protest in history + best election night in years + polling showing we're kicking their ass in public opinion. And now Dems may cave.

It ain't over til it's over, so please do call if you've got a Dem senator.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Most political journalists are preoccupied with the election results, but there's something really interesting going on within the right wing echo chamber. Tucker Carlson's interview with Nick Fuentes has resulted in a heated debate about whether and how to denounce them.

Somehow, I had not heard of Christopher Buehlman's *The Lesser Dead* and picked it up on a whim after finishing *Buffalo Hunter Hunter* by Stephen Graham Jones where he mentions being inspired by the former in the epilogue.

Rs are trying to kindle a scandal around Biden using an autopen and Trump just said on 60 minutes that he doesn't know who the guy he pardoned last month is (that would be C.Z., the billionaire who pled guilty to money laundering in 2023, but who also has lucrative business dealings with Trump).

"But how are we going to pay for SNAP benefits?"
We already have. There's an emergency fund appropriated by Congress for this reason exactly. POTUS is refusing to use it, functionally using 42M people's hunger as a political weapon.
