Pavement #UnconfinedWalks in bright sunshine. No photo because inexplicably (to me) my new Android phone no longer displays all my images when I try to attach from an app. Suggestions gratefully received!

Although this article focuses on US libraries and universities specifically, the line that really sticks with me strikes me as the universal danger of genAI: "AI is a direct attack on the way we verify information: AI both creates fake sources and obscures its actual sources.”
Can't stop thinking about this quote, from @maggietokudahall.bsky.social.

"Fascism and AI, whether or not they have the same goals, they sure are working to accelerate one another."

#UnconfinedWalks to check out the flooding. Yep. Avon IS flooded as per. My route was impassable so had to do a longer detour. Virtuous, if not particularly pleasant.

I'm looking to speak to you about your memories of Highfield Road for my next Cov book - particularly our last season there & the final game against Derby County.
Feel free to message me and share this post, too! Routines you had going to HR, people you used to see, weird stories, all sorts... #PUSB

Exciting #UnconfinedWalks news ( well it is if you've been mostly confined to barracks by an energy sapping cold). The new automated postbox is up and running, complete with solar panel.

Archives hive mind! Any ideas for remote online transcribing projects which would appeal to a retired archivist who loves palaeography and is coming to an end of their present project? Could be anything C16th-C20th, but I lean towards the earlier material unless it’s a topic I’m interested in.
