Prior to becoming the President of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis was the Secretary of War under President Franklin Pierce. Today, under the current administration, the Department of Defense is now called the Department of War once again. They want “the South to Rise Again.”

If you live in Chicago, you know them. The dreaded creepy crawlers. My story in the exceptional anthology COSTS OF LIVING examines our fear of these ghastly insects.

Hope you will check it out! Steve Capone jr. @whisperhousepress.bsky.social did an amazing job with this book!

Ray Bradbury told me in the last few years of his life that he had started a science fiction novel about a group of Catholic Cardinals who go out into space to find God. This is just one idea he shared with me that he never finished.

Watching the funeral of Vice President Cheney today, you see bipartisanship, integrity, humor, and family. Contrast that with the hate, angry, and criminality of the current White House.

It’s #Godzilla Day, but did you know that Ray Bradbury’s 1951 short story was an influence on the creation of Japan’s most infamous Kaiju? Bradbury’s story influenced the film THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS which, in turn, influenced the OG GODZILLA!
