Ok but that man actually does have to pay me for the work I did in October and November. Let's hope we see some checks soon, or there's gonna be SOME HEAT.

This is another Preslee's joint. Please do not go to these places.

My husband asked me today if I knew the bloods hand sign and I was like of course I do and he said, "I never know, you were born in a chicken coop."

The new guys are still getting used to the scary chihuahuas.

Anyone have a trashy chicken/pasta casserole recipe they enjoy? I know crack chicken. It can be like that, but maybe a bit more substantial? We're skipping TG this year but I want to be indulgent.

It is time.

I frankly don't know what anyone is talking about on here today.

My adderall is not strong enough to counter this terrible ennui.

William and Billiard transported yesterday so I picked up two little torties.

The authoritarians in our state government are at it again, claiming voter registration fraud with no evidence. Then the plan would be for the state to take over from our county voter registrar. www.kxan.com/news/texas-p...

It's the holidays, so fosters are in short supply. If you want to try it out, you should go get Scrappy, who I met last week. He was ADORABLE and EXCITED. Apply to become a short-term foster in Houston here: rescuedpetsmovement.org/become-a-fos...

Having a couple of wonderful chats with strangers in my IG DMs about perimenopause and what I've learned and what they've learned. We just have to talk about this stuff, dudes!

We have this crazy bramble of salvia, rock rose and lantana that I cannot tame because there are too many bees. I’m giving it to them and hoping for a frost to come at some point.

We're running low on groceries. It's the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Do I even bother trying to go to HEB?

Drop your Trapper Keeper if you can find it. Here was mine.

I spent hours in the backyard today trying to take it back in the midst of our endless summer and all I can say is fuck lantana. Garbage plant. Smells awful. Sprouts up all over the place. Hate it.

Are there any free/cheap apps that allow you to block access to other apps on your phone at night? I have Opal installed for a free week but it's $100 for a year.

I am getting serious about doomscrolling.

Today we went to this place and I picked out a slab of maple that Chad is going to turn into a couple of bookshelves for my vintage cookbooks and my vintage books about Houston/Texas. It was fun to see their stock. www.clarkshardwood.com

This has been a week, dudes. Lost a job. Uncontrollable rage at the immoral amount of wealth being hoarded on my street alone. Screaming, crying. Depression. Loneliness. WEEK FIVE OF MY PERIOD.

My only plan for the weekend is to aggressively garden in the sweltering November heat.

This is Billiard. He got some supportive care today in the way of some fluids and a dose of Cerenia because he vommed twice yesterday. HE SCREAMED SO LOUD AT THE CLINIC, EVEN AFTER THE NEEDLE WAS OUT.

Come on, Billiard.
