Still going to lots of operas. Always manage to find some when visiting grandchildren in Australia and Norway. Still angry about Brexit.

Didn’t you have brilliant weather! I love seeing your Lake District photos. Takes me back to 1990 onwards when, for nearly 20 years we had a modern terraced house in Kendal and we climbed so many of the peaks.
I’m going with Rinaldo which we heard magnificently played by the TEC ( not happy with their new acronym!) at St Martin-in-the-Fields last night.
Andrew needs to have the guts to own up. Everyone knows he’s lying.
I continue to be amazed that 77 million people voted for Trump.
Same here. In fact I met up at the weekend with a friend whom I’ve known for over 50 years who said that the Brexit vote still makes her so angry- as it does me. I had been beginning to wonder whether I was over-reacting ten years later.
It’s not as if the White House is his to do what he likes with it!
I agree. It’s on in Brussels early next year. Thinking about going.
I’ve reposted the map showing all the US locations. Let’s hope it is a success!

Why are we even debating playing a World Cup in a country that attacks its own citizens, denies them health care, attacks boats in international waters and protects criminal rapists? 🤔
I keep thinking about what life is like in Trump’s America for all those being detained and deported by ICE.
I was glad to read your post; we go to Oslo twice a year as our son and his family live there. I spotted a gala concert at the Copenhagen opera for next May and have booked. We are hoping that our (sadly!) advancing years will allow us to attend!
We always go to Figlmuller for their huge schnitzels. On our recent visit an Austrian neighbour recommended Plachutta; my husband loved the Tafelspitz and the waiter was happy to talk him through it. We took the tram to Nussdorf but there is a branch in the Centre and also in Hietzing.

We went to a memorable Lucia ( with Sutherland) in June 1973(!) on the day my husband passed his medical exams.
I feel for you. I must apologise for having forgotten to answer the questionnaire about Verona. Am I too late and are you able to forward it?
Ditto! So glad we saw a number of operas at Santa Fe last year. Never again, sadly.
I learned a new word in the first sentence. Had to google it.
I am the proud mother of a son who has married a Norwegian and has given us Norwegian grandchildren. I am so pleased that the Peace Prize hasn’t been given to a dictator.
How many of us studied the Shorter Latin Primer?!
