Fin came over to give me a hug. ‘What now?’ Her voice was muffled against my chest.

Finally got the guttering up and connected on my new shed 🙌 It's only taken ages cos the old shed was 7x7ft and the new one is 8x6, so had to saw pieces off some bits and stick the pieces to other bits. Then the IBC tank was too far away, so I used some flexible pond pipe 👌 #allotment #shed

If this is what a book 'title' looks like, I will not buy the book. This is not a title. I don't care if it's 'the tiktok viral sensation' or whatever shit you want to add. This just tells me you added £s to the price.
And if a blurb looks like this, I'm definitely not reading it.
Book title on Amazon, all in capital letters, which reads THE LAMPLIGHTER'S BOOKSHOP: THE BRAND NEW SPELLBINDING ROMANTIC HISTORICAL FICTION NOVEL FOR 2025 Everything after the colon being unpunctuated and entirely superfluous Supposed blurb for the book which starts with all capital letters: EVERY BOOK TELLS A STORY. EVERY HEART HIDES A SECRET. Which tells us little about the book. Except that it's telling a story. Which we knew. Then there are lines from 3 readers' reviews, 2 are named and I've never heard of them, the 3rd one is just 'a reader'. Their reviews are generic blah blah, and tell you nothing about the book. Then we go back into all capitals - THE LOST BOOKSHOP MEETS THE LOST APOTHECARY IN A BEGUILING NOVEL FULL OF SECRETS... Again, telling us literally nothing about the book itself. I did not buy this book.

Couple of late entries for this week's #BlueSkyArtShow after I spent far too long reviewing all of my pics with #Reflections in them last night 🤦🏼‍♀️😅 Both on the #LeedsAndLiverpoolCanal in #Yorkshire. One is my nephew, the other is a tree +reflection in the shape of lungs 💚

The shape of the tree plus it's reflection are reminiscent of the shape of human lungs, which is a perfect metaphor for its function.

A brown path cuts through the tan and green grass of the moor, with a hill rising ahead and top the right. There are a scattering of very small pine trees on the hill, and in the distance a black dog is running down the path towards the camera. He looks all gangly and floppity with 2 legs off the ground because he's going pretty fast now. Same path, same moor, same dog, but this time he's passed us and hurtled around in a circle, so he's leaning into the bend like a TT racer and looks absolutely ecstatic with himself. Sirius, my black German Shepherd, is just showing his nose in the bottom right corner, where he was huddled next to my leg to avoid being mown down by the running loon.

The world is all too 🤯 right now and I'm so overwhelmed because I can't do anything. So I spent a bit of time doing something that I do have a tiny bit of control over! I've sown chilli and pepper seeds in a half tray & clump-sown 6 varieties of onion in cell trays.

When you're trying to bake your sister's birthday cake, but the fan in your fan oven has died 😬 I haven't had a conventional oven for over 2 decades, I've forgotten how! Currently, the cake is slightly singed on the top, and still soggy in the middle 😩😩

Got my porch/potting station organised and ready to start sowing seeds! 🌱💚🌱💚🌱 Also put an electric heater with a frost-free thermostat in there, so things can grow unchecked once I start. Onions 1st, which I'll be clump sowing in cell trays 🧅🤎

Today's walk wasn't fun... We got to the furthest point from the car & then the spotty rain turned to sideways hailstones with a strong headwind 🥶🥶🥶 My face was numb by the time we got back, and the dogs were freezing 🥶
