Have you also noticed how many videos are titled "the satisfying downfall of [Person/Media/Corporation]" on YouTube? YouTube is a platform designed primarily for entertainment. How is that not kind of distressing that the downfall of things, deserved or not, is now a form of entertainment?

I want to hear why X media didn't resonate with you but like just you as an individual person not attaching some greater argument cuz I'm looking for human connection and conversation not this grand judgement that raises the stakes so high it's exhausting to constantly engage with.

You can just title your video "I didn't like X thing because.." oh wait- that doesn't pull on views does it.
Sigh.

We have fallen into this view of categorizing art as really bad or really good. It either delivered perfectly all its promised potential or it failed miserably. Did that media really do that? Or is this just an outlet for your current feelings about where the world is rn?

Listen you can not like something and just say that. You don't have to frame it as X thing missed it's potential or is something fatally flawed. I feel like these videos titled "X THING FALLS SHORT" are almost collectively more of a reflection on how people view the world rn than the media covered
