Happy to finally capture this one.
From my location it was tough to get a good view.
I set my alarm for 4am and took my rig and dog out in the back of the field that is our yard just as the comet climbed above the tree line.

We have had #maxthedog for 138 days. He’s grown from 60lbs to 80lbs. I’m impressed this pup has evolved from an abandoned, abused animal to a loving companion. He is still learning. Here’s to the volunteers that foster animals. One of my adopted dogs inspired us to continue the fire. #fosterdogs

Two nights of 3:45am alarms, blazing full moon lighting the sky like daytime and washing out the light of everything else, comet included. Then two days of post-processing battles, as comet processing is maddeningly tricky.
