It's me, SAWHAND! I do art, working on some comics projects that I can't reveal just yet, but here are some cool paintings and drawings I've done! The first two are comic concept art, the third is Adventure Zone Balance Arc fanart, and the fourth was a commission for an spotify album cover.
A man from around the waist up leaning back against a bar. The color palette is red and burgnudy and a teal green. There is a wine bottle. The man is looking at the viewer and has slightly curly short hair. He is wearing a tunic, a necklace made of squares, and several rings. Two suns light this greyscale scene of an ocean made of crystals. There is a low horizon, above which is floating a large city, that is also a ship. It has a lot of verticality, and rises to a main tower that looks like a lighthouse. It has sails like a tall ship, and windmills. There is another city ship in the distant background with a slightly different layout. There are also smaller ships that look more like typical sailboats floating around the city ship. These emphasize the massive scale of the city. Four items are drawn in a white void, with labels that look like pieces of paper folded in half. The items are dungeons and dragon items from The Adventure Zone podcast Balance Arc. The Lens of Straight Creepin is a monocle with a chain that has an eyeball at the end, sort of like a keychain charm. The Astral Shell is a conch shell, but the interior is the void of space. The outside looks normal. The Fluttons fork is a two pronged fork, the handle is wrapped horizontally, and at the very end of the handle there is a tooth. The Anti Gravity Sphere is a shiny glass sphere with swirling smoke in it. A large red orange moon is in the top background, the sky is a green black behind it. The bottom of the image is a volcano painted roughly in. Above the volcano in the middle stands an industrial structure on four legs, positioned right over erupting lava. The structure is mainly round, looks like it's made of panels of metal. On the side there is a horizontal smokestack, on the top is another smoke stack, what looks like large skyscraper buildings. Also on the top are several crane arms with the crisscrossing metal pattern. They are sticking out the top sides as though they are horns. The front of the round structure has grates that look like eyes, they are glowing orange and red from within, the same color as the lava below the structure. It looks like the lava is somehow powering the city on top of the structure, with the main round body being some way to harness the energy of the volcano.

The story feels like a fairytale. The worldbuilding is very original, and leaves a lot to be inferred, but there's enough explanation to follow the story no problem!

And the character designs *chefs kiss* I'll definitely be reading this one again y'all!

Highly recommend BAGATTO by Sassoraviolo from Shortbox Comic Fair (available during Oct)!

The art style is fantastic, luscious, energetic and dreamlike, very much in keeping with the themes of the comic! Content warning: probably adult leaning.

Way to go, Chicago, more of this! Kristi Noem is upset that ICE agents in Chicago are being “denied entry” to restrooms and lunch spots.

It’s Banned Books Week (October 5-11), a celebration of the freedom to read. We’re proud to have exhibited original art from numerous challenged and banned comics and graphic novels throughout our 40 years. If i could filter out every article title, description, every youtube thumbnail with text that uses the word "shocking" i would DO IT.

I just assume it's clickbait garbage if it has the word "shocking".

What're your clickbait tells?

Seeing so many people spreading the word about the No Kings rally on October 18th. Trump is scrambling to mobilize as much of the National Guard as he can to control the narrative, he was rattled by the last one on his birthday.

You can lead a horse to someone telling the horse a very straightforward fact, but you can't make it listen, I guess 🤷😒

Omg i can just HEAR that in my head :'D Sounds REALLY annoying! Especially cause Hans Vogel is like a) not a children's book (obviously) and b) a really complex piece of artwork with a really complicated message!
These visitors...they know NOTHING! 😶

HAPPY HANSIVERSARY!

I cannot believe I've been making this weird little story for ten years officially today, but I know I wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't taken that leap in 2015. Thank you to everyone who's joined me along the way!

Much of the cardboard and paper goods strewn about our homes are sold by a single private company, with its name, Uline, stamped on the bottom.

Many may not know that a multibillion-dollar fortune made on those ubiquitous products fuels far-right candidates across the country.

That Cardboard Box in Your Home Is Fueling Election Denial
A previously unreported boom in profits for the shipping supply giant Uline has provided the funds for a deeply conservative Midwestern family to bankroll anti-democracy causes around the country.

Hmm, I don't know much about it, but I do know it's dependent on what material the rug is made of, and I think to some extent what type of construction it is?

Totally understandable! I'm sure it's a whole lot of work! But we sure appreciate it! ♥️ Enjoy the break!

OH MY GOD I'M SO FREAKIN EXCITED!! I picked up some REALLY cool comics last year!

(also, fellow comic artists, typically the application period for shortbox kicks off RIGHT AWAY after the fair in Nov. Mentioning cause it's unusually early for most events. BE PREPARED! <3 )
