New to me bracket watches: Jingle Bell Heist is freakin fun. A great time. A Nice Indian Boy is one of the best romcoms I've seen in years. Ridiculously good.

I'm still thinking about Mark Wahlberg wearing berets constantly in this movie. I kept wishing he would show up wearing a beret with a baguette on it. Or just a French flag. Go all in, give me COMMITMENT.
Say what you will about The Truth About Charlie, the Charade remake. It's disjointed, and feels very rushed. I would be interested in a podcast going into what happened there. But, Thandiwe is such a good pick in the Audrey Hepburn role. How she is in a cab with a stemmed glass of wine is hilarious.

#romcombracket If anyone has romance novel recommendations similar to How to Steal a Million, I would very much appreciate it.

Watching If the Shoe Fits (on Tubi, awesome) as my 1st #romcombracket film. I have seen this but it has been like 20 years so I remember NOTHING.

Cinderella movies are so fun. ✨
Ever After and the Brandy Cinderella are my favorites.
The Glass Slipper is great but Leslie Caron has odd baby voice.

I watched this last night.

The top two women's skaters in the US are queer women, with pride flags waving in the audience in support.

That really meant something to me in this moment.

I recommend following more libraries, museums and galleries - especially the small local ones - and all sorts of intriguing nuggets will brighten your day.

Thanks to @themerl.bsky.social for this great starter pack!

I’d like to add @bexhillmuseum.bsky.social as another recommendation.
Welcome to all our new followers!

If you're interested in getting more museums, libraries, galleries, and archives in your feed (because why the heck wouldn't you be), here's a starter pack we made earlier:

Went down a rabbit hole and came up with my Top 10 Hallmark Movies:

There are Hallmark movies that I love because they lean all the way in to the Hallmark tropes and just own it.

There are also Hallmark movies that I love because they reach past the Hallmark tropes and are just a solid romcom.

Spellbound (1945) makes me happy. Ingrid Bergman is so horny for Gregory Peck. She JUST met him and is like "this is not a murderer, he is my husband and pookie." I love her.

Re-watched The Residence again. Do we think that the furnace not working was because it was redirected to make the water really hot? So many questions. Such a great mystery show.

Maybe it's the white house setting but I'm now feeling the need to do a First Daughter / Chasing Liberty double feature.

Playing #whisperofthehouse lately, and the Town-home space is bananas. The mayor gives you a nutty amount of stuff to put into the house. Here is my best attempt that took me a very long time and am pretty proud of:
