I like basil, quahogs, horseshoe crabs, and teaching high school critters.

The recent storm was the end for this blue crab, its bright colors contrasting with the long shadows of the last day of autumn.

Big winds the past couple of days pushed up a lot of dead and dying critters along the shore--including this very much alive sea cucumber, first one I've ever found.

……. I’m not even angry this just feels nonsensical.

Everything about news and demography shows a desire for closeness authenticity. And communal discursive resurgence …..

Like it’s not just the Weiss sucks but that she sucks the way the the weird nasty suck up kid always sucks
Can they both lose?

The milkweed beetles are gone now. I did not find any carcasses, just the empty milkweed husks.

Except this one--we still has its seeds. And maybe, just maybe, a few critters hiding inside behind them.

White people could shut this down immediately if they wanted to.

Every media house should be condemning this; every corporation, every university, every CEO, every religious leader, everyone with a smidge of power should be speaking up.

Why aren't you speaking up loudly, White America?

Say the word aloud and it comes to life as, well, fun. Poetic.
Your Cherokee words for today.
The top word is English followed by how it is written in the Cherokee language followed by how it is spelled in English then how to pronounce it phonetically.

And now I hear my Granddad's voice singing silent night, a man born in 1898.

The voice is still alive, and will be as long as I breathe.

The "professionalism" around us kills souls.

Just a few decades ago there was always a guitar around, a few voices, stories, and often something to nosh on.

OK, alcohol and cigarettes, too, but apparently mortality was less of an issue then.
