With a dark sense of humor, it is both alarming and funny the way people continually use the foreboding future tense of entering fascism in this country when it’s literally already here people are like “it’s coming” or “I fear we are entering fascism”. I’m like NAH DUDE WAKE UP IT’S ALREADY HERE!

I think people forget that you’re allowed to have an emotional response to something that bothers you even if it’s warranted, but you’re not allowed to abuse systems of power to suppress the voices of others simply because you don’t like the things they say. That’s called fascism.

Trey Reed being found hanging on his college campus several days after an alt-right political figure was killed shouldn’t go over anyone’s head without at least a morsel of reasonable suspicion. In this current political climate? In this country? That’s not a coincidence it’s pattern recognition.

I think we’re already there…

It’s happening. The takedown of Jimmy Kimmel is likely the start of a campaign to use the murder of Charlie Kirk as a pretext to use the power of the White House to wipe out Trump’s critics and his political opponents.

But we aren’t powerless. We can mobilize and organize. Now.

For folks pissed off at Disney-ABC for firing Jimmy Kimmel I do believe we can put pressure and win which we need any win right now.

I find it insulting to the competence of humanity at large for any national power to claim they are great if their success was based on the backs of exploiting and destabilizing other nations around them. It’s hypocritical to an extent that should insult many, but it doesn’t sadly.

It’s been a while since I posted on here so here are some updates. Got back revisions on my first chapter manuscript I submitted, which is awesome. Crushed my presentation at a conference in Atlanta, Georgia. I received a continuing fellowship to cover my Fall semester. Things are going well!

Massive late response to this, but had so much fun at the conference and sharing some of my insights from the manuscript I’m developing from my research. This is probably one of the coolest insights that I’ve gathered from my research so far. Excited to share more!

Fish biologists are the physicists of the vertebrate biology world. Just because you know every extant and prehistoric vertebrate extends from jawed fish doesn’t mean you always have to remind us. We get it, you guys came first! Lol

Yeah it’s frustrating, I feel like the DNC as a whole has been alienating so many people who are vulnerable.

I’m continually unsurprised when straight white male politicians sit in a room and expose themselves for not having the moral foundations that they portrayed themselves to have when it comes to their political affiliation. This is so ridiculous. Why would you platform Charlie Kirk?

1. This morning, California Governor said he was in "complete alignment" with anti-LGBTQ+ hate-influencer Charlie Kirk of TPUSA on transgender sports.

He also conceded on trans inmates and gender affirming care for youth.

It's so much worse than being reported.

Establishment Democrats think that by alienating trans people they can appeal to a more moderate voter basis they tend to miss during elections, but all it does is secure that they’ll lose votes from their progressive basis, which is why they always lose. This is a dumb losing strategy.

I think the most frustrating part about the situation we’re all dealing with is if the DNC had actually stood on progressive values they claim to have they would’ve endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 and maybe we could’ve avoided all this to begin with. Yet, here we are dealing with Trump once again.

This is your reminder that boycotting and economic pressure against someone who has corrupt interests towards our democracy works. In the end capitalists will always turn on each other.
