Saw #Zootopia2 and it was excellent. That said, Shakira still stole Waka Waka from the Cameroonian song Zangaléwa, and the song she did for this movie is damn near the same thing. She apparently just has the one song.

This AT&T demo diskette was discovered in a large box of unsorted floppies. The instructions are for running it on a 3B2 computer which we have running as “lcm3b2” and is remotely accessible. Would you like to know what is on this diskette? #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing #floppydisk #unix

Me: capitalism sucks and it’s tearing us apart

Also me: browsing Amazon, maybe I should buy this non-transforming 2025 Megatron made out of plastic metal that will ship here from China on a boat

For those wondering if Jeff Bezos (owner of Washington Post) is in the Epstein files:
The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have “no public interest” before even seeing them. That’s a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone ‘no’ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

I nearly scrapped a smartphone once because it was doing WEIRD THINGS whenever I tried to use it. Opening and closing apps, random characters appearing in whatever I was trying to type…

I had a Bluetooth keyboard in my rucksack that was paired with it and kept getting accidentally switched on.
I just spent the last two hours debugging the Bluetooth stack *in anger* because for the last few weeks I've had to re-pair my mouse with my laptop. Every time. Remove mouse, re-pair.

Turns out I had two identical mice in my backpack and I've been switching between them.

It was me.

Right there, plain as day. Research access to games can coexist with playing them for fun!

What a fantastic AMA with @scott.hanselman.com yesterday at #MSIgnite. Amazing insights on my question about junior developers in the world of AI coding agents. Definitely one of the highlights of this event for me. I can’t wait for the “Scott and Mark Learn To” session today.

Honestly, this is probably the most legit way to use AI tools: enablement.

If you are not able to use a keyboard, this is a great way to overcome that hurdle.

Great example of vibe coding with the GitHub Copilot CLI. Lots of little tips and tricks mentioned/shown along the way. Not appropriate for all apps, but for small and proof of concept ones. Not always more productive, but a different workflow to be aware of.

Another way of looking at this is if each of the US’s 19,000 cities, towns & villages had their own solar thermal plant, THE MEAN AVERAGE would be 2sq km or .77sq miles.

Less than a square mile doesn’t seem so bad, does it.
One ~182km x ~211km solar thermal plant could provide all of America’s electricity, including a fully-electrified land transport sector.

100% clean power from just 0.39% of U.S land.

That’s why renewables are constantly under attack from the fossil fuel industry and their paid mouthpieces.
