The idea that my new garage door opener wants to charge me more than a Netflix subscription to watch the video out of my garage door is insane. My garage door camera is not nearly as interesting as Netflix. How do they think that this is a business that anyone will pay for

My work email situation isn’t a normal (or sane) persons. I literally get hundreds-thousand emails a day. Inbox rules are essential and I follow @scott.hanselman.com’s olde guidelines (a bit loosely but still) if I am not on the To: line or explicitly @-mentioned I consider it informational

It’s so good. P1s is the iPhone of printers. You have two choices in the world of 3d printers:

1 - mess around with your printer struggling to get it to do stuff, calibrate Z order and install beta firmware and tighten your cables

2 - print stuff with Bambulabs

It's silly - since it's just an NFC card inside a magnet/weighted rubber brick, but I stuck it on the fridge and the psychology of "Bricking my phone" before bed and being unable to doomscroll before bed or during random wakeups (without going downstairs) has been killer. Whole house uses it now.

I’m blown away and how rough my kids are with their phones. My phone looks perfect like the day I bought it. Not a scratch on the screen. This is a $1000 pocket supercomputer and I’d like it to remain perfect.

Another absolute banger from Safia
Another winter break coding side quest...

I created a CLI tool called "burrow" for managing local secrets, inspired by `dotnet user-secrets`. But, it’s a standalone executable and it uses SQLite instead of JSON as the backing store.

SD cards are confusing. None of these will work on my kid’s GoPro because they’re not fast enough and the PNY one is promising but won’t format

Hey friends! I did a TEDx talk and it's now up on the TED Conferences YouTube. It's possibly the best and most important talk I've ever done.

I would ask that you watch it, and please SHARE it broadly and widely. Thank you! youtu.be/dVG8W-0p6vg #AI #Tech #TED

I finally watched this (best part of funemployment - catching up on my 32489723948 open Brave tabs) and damn, did it resonate.

This is one of the most heartfelt talks I've ever heard about tech, and reminded me why I've gravitated towards it since childhood too.

I enjoyed Stranger Things season 1, and am jumping back in to Season 5. Um…I don’t remember the acting being this bad before? And the sets? And the green screen? And this young man’s wig? Apparently I’ve missed a lot.

Why does this one kid look 50?
