These figures from John Lewis are nuts, right?

It’s not just me, is it?

How long before there’s a Truth complaining about the latest iOS update?

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I really enjoyed this, I loved all the northern references and talk about class.

It may not seem so amazing now, but in the context of 2006, Colbert's absolutely searing routine at the White House Correspondents Association dinner was a bright spot and a brave moment during the Bush years. He's gonna blow the doors off on his way out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen...

Breaking news: we don’t know more than we did anyway.

Events. The UK is great at big national events. Whether it’s a jubilee, coronation or state funeral, New Year fireworks, Olympics or Glastonbury, FA Cup or Wimbledon … everything from how they run to the TV coverage to transport (train can sometimes be a bit iffy), we’re great at doing them properly
So,as a little thought-experiment, tell me something about the United Kingdom that works well and is actually quite impressive. I am not trying to sound like some boosterish politician. I just genuinely believe that making people believe that all is lost is a convenient pretext for shady characters.

This has been one of the most helpful podcasts and the stupid things are
1) heat pump explanations as political impartiality??
2) why bbc wouldn’t do it in house (see above)
3) half the BBC’s talent is earning millions doing 3rd party revenue share podcasts and Evan was hit for a show on… heat pumps
Sad news about the Happy Heat Pump Podcast.

Sorry to say, that after about 20 episodes, we’re drawing it to a close at the request of the BBC which worries it may be seen as steering into areas of public controversy.

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social if you are able, please pass on thoughts, love, support …everything to the lady at the end of the programme. So much courage and grace to have gone through all that and be able to calmly explain it all and deal with it. Let her know she is amazing and give her my best.

*sigh* why does everything online turn to shit? Sharing so that we can all ignore and block this kind of crap from the start over here.
Bluesky has been flooded with automated reply bots - they'll offer a sort of confrontational opinion as a reply. They're pretty convincing and we all need to train ourselves to not reflexively reply to all responses until we check

Dead giveaway is new acct, few followers + original posts

This situation with Facebook is terrible and another reason to not use any of their products, but honestly, a really distasteful part of it is this embarrassingly tragic bro styling and cosplay.

More of the public should understand this and people who work in these industries should explain this value more often.
From the FT the other day. I had no idea.
