What she does isn't unique in the administration. The same observation, excellently made here by @kaivanshroff.bsky.social, applies to any of them, Leavitt, Bondi, etc. What they say makes so much more sense when you assume they're not trying to persuade; they're trying to please. Please the boss.
"Her deceptions are so apparent and ill conceived they don’t even appear designed to persuade at all." A complete cynic? Or a nutty true believer?

I had a great idea for a story last night. I knew I did at the moment. But I didn't get out of bed and write it down. And so now, this morning, it is gone. I'm kicking myself.

9. Katy Perry... and Left Shark.
Bad Bunny's halftime show at Super Bowl LX rose to the occasion.

So, where exactly does his performance rank among the greats?

@saadyousuf126.bsky.social has it in the top 10, narrowly above Kendrick Lamar's show last year 👀

Soft yet brilliant.
The studio innovations developed to record this song were in the spirit of “Good Vibrations” or “A Day in the Life,” influencing pop music for a long time.
And it is such a great song.

I’m deeply disappointed in Tom Llamas’ 3rd-rate performance as a journalist in his hyped sit-down with Trump. Llamas is new; I had hoped he was tough and prepared. But no. Llamas looked like a novice. He let Trump lie repeatedly, rarely challenging, and without confidence. Trump toyed with him.

What to do in central Florida during the worst cold spell in a decade: go to Blue Springs to see hundreds of manatees huddling in the warm water.

I'm excited to announce the completion of my latest short story:
"Death of The President."

When U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Jonathan Francis calls upon his Great-Uncle Boone Davis, in 1968, he does not imagine what the great old man will give him.

A burden of history.

Now available to a good journal.

Finally, a protest song worthy to join Ohio, Give Ireland Back to the Irish, Fortunate Son, the Fish Chant, Bells of Rhymney, For What It's Worth, and The Times They Are A-Changin'.
Keep it coming, music world.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Let me sum up this very disturbing report on the payroll disparity in MLB by describing one graphic: the Dodgers spent more money on player payroll+salary cap tax last season than the Guardians, White Sox, Pirates, Rays, As, and Marlines (6 teams!) COMBINED.
Breaking down team payroll disparity in MLB
There are a number of positive trends for Major League Baseball as we approach a new season. MLB's attendance improved for a fourth consecutive full season in 2025. That trend coincides with rules cha...

German filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl was considered a brilliant movie director before she made propaganda films for Hitler. When Hitler died, her career died.

“Melania” is directed by Bret Ratner, who’s previous credits include “Rush Hour” and an X-Men.

What, I wonder, will come of Ratner career?
Airlines will not show this to prevent walkouts.

I am sure ICE is not keeping track. Homeland Security is not keeping track. The Justice Department is not keeping track. Trump is not keeping track.

But rest assured, someone is keeping track, and one day a full accountability will be possible.

What my Reds—really any team except the Dodgers—really needs, is someone who can get on base a lot, and who doesn’t strike out, and who costs less than $20 million a year. I know. I know. Unicorns aren‘t real, are they?

Like the legalization of AR15 style rifles in 2004, this can never be undone. Way too much money at play already.
Sports gambling isn’t killing sports in one dramatic moment. It’s all of these small moments adding up, slowly changing how fans trust what they’re watching.

I usually agree. But I assume the coaches & players are mandated to take the questions by provisions in the TV contracts. I recall when Gregg Popovich once replied to a third question with, “That’s 3; you only get 2,” and walked away. Anyone know for sure?
I can’t stress enough how much I despise reporters collaring players and managers in the tunnel during halftime. Leave them alone it’s the last thing they want or need.

The Mets have a talent for finding and giving multiyear contracts to free agents who are just about to get old—no matter what their biological ages. Even if they’re still in their 20s when they sign, by their 2nd or 3rd years, their bodies fall apart as if they’re 40.

Worth noting literal use of the word ”warrior.” Trump, Maga, and their allies are at war with liberal Americans. So their killings are justified as battlefield statistics.
