Quant-heavy stigma and health researcher; ethical statistician; avid protector of all creatures great and small. Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Reading, former Assistant Professor in Epidemiology and Community Health. Words are mine alone.
Can't say I'm super proud of the email I sent to a journal editor this morning with the line "The revisions requested were not, in our eyes, substantial enough to warrant subsequent review that has exceeded a human pregnancy", but I haven't had enough caffeine this morning and I'm getting impatient.

Now that I've been in the UK for two whole weeks: (1) the food here is excellent; (2) the groceries, including pre-prepared foods, produce, and meat are better than anything I ever had in the States; (3) public transportation in even relatively small towns rivals NYC;

Hey fellow #stats and #psychometrics nerds; anyone have ideas on a nice, pretty, non-stats-friendly way to present findings of three DIF analyses REALLY QUICKLY? Coming up blank and I've only got two brain cells left this week.

We get videos now?! Time to post the rabbit.

Quick question: does anyone out there have a good sample analytic plan section where they describe Dynamic Fit Indices to a non-quant-heavy journal audience successfully? Working on one now and it would be immensely helpful to adapt. #rstats #AcademicSky #statssky

Implementing statcheck during peer review is related to a steep decline in statistical reporting inconsistencies
osf.io/preprints/ps... #MetaScience The results are credible, suggesting one should use statcheck as a low-level intervention during peer review (or earlier by the authors) 1/
