Do you think that I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?
Literally describing Clara Oswald.

Just wild to claim that TV witting is too safe now because writers live under the constant threat of cancellation unlike the glory days of 24 episode seasons when nothing was ever cancelled and writers were always risky and experimental, never ever just phoning it in.

Still don't understand how anyone can watch the last 15 mins of The Giggle, see Ncuti Gatwa overflowing with energy and charisma, and think he was being overshadowed by David Tennant.

I often try to avoid getting sucked into Krakoa discourse because so few seem interested in having any kind of nuanced discussion about it. Just lots of tiresome "That island was completely evil and you're dumb if you can't see it" takes.

Not sure I would class Mutant Genesis as a leap forward since it was intentionally a rollback to a classic Claremont status quo (which ironically drove Claremont himself to quit) just with more characters and Jim Lee makeovers. Regression periods usually follow a leap forward and vice versa.
Every decade or so, #XMen comics make a big leap forward you can't walk back. The O5 to the Giant Size team, the expansion into multiple X-Men teams in '91's Mutant Genesis, the expansion of the school in the Morrison era. Krakoa was such a leap forward, and going back now feels like a big mistake.

“Plot hole” is one of the critical terms that really needs to taken away from people until they learn to use it correctly.

Well, that isn't suspicious at all.
Following the release of the Epstein files Jk Rowling has deleted a decade of port logs belonging to the Super yacht Samsara.

What is she hiding?

Seems racists are upset because Nolan has cast Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy, screaming about "historical accuracy". That'd be the same "history" that tells us that Helen's father was a swan.

Convinced if Poirot had done Death on the Nile a few years earlier they would've replaced Colonel Race with Hastings since they are basically the same character.

Watching Amadeus and no one does love/hate quite like Salieri.

One of the things that disappointed me about Absolute Wonder Woman was since Circe was now Diana's mother we lost their homoerotic rivalry, but they've made up for that by transferring it to Zatanna and really ramping up the toxic yuri.

'The Chocolate Box' is an unintentionally hilarious episode of Poirot as it is set in Belgium, showing Poirot's past, yet no one else in it speaks with an accent except Poirot.

Absolute Wonder Woman is as tall as Barbara is gay for her.

First of all, he doesn't lie just distracts her and that is still perfectly in keeping with their whole dynamic. Secondly, how often did that even happen? Even in TEH it wasn't to save the day, just to tell off the Atraxi. Only other example I can think of is TPO and that doesn't save the day

Always befuddles me when people say Doctor Who needs fresh blood and to be less nostalgic then suggest that Pete McTighe be the next showrunner.
January 28, 2026 at 4:51 PM
Apparently it is bad writing if Doctor Who companions go off on loads of adventures instead of hanging around their home town all the time so we can learn the names of all their neighbours.

1/3 Having read Alan Moore's WildC.A.T.S. run and I get the sense that he wanted to do a complete reinvention of the series, centered around the new team he put together, one that would explore how their more pro-active methods clashed with classic superhero ideals.

The Doctor being mind wiped and brainwashed into fighting the Time War is a lot less interesting than them fighting the war and living with the consequences and guilt. I don't really like the whole TW concept, but better the Doctor's involvement was their own choice, not that of an outside force.

Just a few hours after celebrating Sal B's birthday, I got the news that Sal has passed away. An enormous loss for our industry and for all of us who knew and worked with him. Safe journeys, Sal. We'll miss you.
Sal Buscema turns 90 today. There's hardly a Marvel character Sal hasn't left his mark on, from Cap to the Hulk, Avengers to Thor. Working with Sal for two years on Spectacular Spider-Man remains a highlight of my career. And the best part? He's not just a great artist, he's a truly good guy.

I knew there'd be some kind of Ultimate relaunch after Endgame, but I foolishly thought Marvel's higher ups would have the sense to wait a few months to give us some breathing room. Oh me of too much misplaced faith.
💥 The Ultimate Universe is ending… but its impact isn’t! #MarvelComics teases REBORN: ULTIMATE IMPACT, revealing how Ultimate’s legacy will ripple across the Marvel Universe. #comicsky
Full announcement coming later this week, check out the #teaser here:
Marvel teases the end of the Ultimate Universe, and how it may be “Reborn”
The Ultimate Universe may be ending, but Marvel is about to prove that its fallout is only just beginning.

Really tired of people insisting Moffat's characters are bad because we didn't see their relatives hang around and do nothing every other episode. Frankly, I don't care if we never saw Amy's parents again. We saw Yaz's family multiple times did that make her a stronger character? No.
