Since I’ve gained some new followers here not from the old place, here’s a “me” primer: 90% of the time, I will only tweet/retweet about the following subjects and people, or things adjacent to said subjects. The other 10% of the time is random snark + occasional crass comments. That’s your warning
The only way they can get anyone to watch “Melania.”

I wasn’t mad, but I always wondered who
Picard meant. We assume it was Spock, because in “Unification” Picard mentions having met Spock once before. So it must have been his wedding, right? My head canon? Spock married Saavik once she revealed to him they had a kid conceived on the Genesis planet.
It's a sad fact that if the TNG episode "Sarek" aired for the first time today, a section fandom would demand TNG be cancelled and people lose their jobs just because Picard mentions he was at Sarek's sons wedding.

Claiming you can't marry Spock off off screen or introduce a new family member.

As Californians we looove to complain about the price of things, but remember, this is what we actually pay for.

Rewatching old #CloneWars & #Rebels, it’s fun seeing how Filoni & co took Darth Maul, the aesthetically coolest #StarWars villain next to Vader, who was dumbly discarded, & made him a remix of many iconic villains. There’s mad Gollum, revenge driven Khan from Star Trek, w/ a pinch of Hannibal Lecter

I’m so over the best people, the brightest lights, leaving this Earth too soon, while the most evil among us seemingly live forever, drinking from their goblets on their vile thrones.

Anyway, enjoy a lovely moment of Catherine O’Hara & Paul Reubens at the Hollywood Bowl, via @midnight_hags IG

Rest in peace Catherine O’Hara…may your star shine bright in the night sky forever…💔

I loved Catherine O’Hara in so many things… but it’s the Christopher Guest mockumentaries where I really became obsessed with her, and her absolute
genius line deliveries. RIP to a goddamn ICON.

Another great @rdauterman.bsky.social costume history cover, this time for #WonderMan. I do love how the only real difference between two of Simon’s looks is “with mullet/without mullet.” (Ok, and with/without armbands) 🤣

I have been “meh” to “UGH” on the first 3 eps of #StarfleetAcademy, but the fourth ep, focusing of Jay-Den, was pretty darn good…and I like the next two week’s eps as well. I’m glad we finally know what became of the Klingons. You’d think they’d have learned about “safety protocols” after Praxis. 👀

26 years in, and so far the 21st century is “exciting” in all the ways it should be boring, and (mostly) boring in all the areas where it should be exciting. I will not elaborate further.

Levar Burton was never cast as “the new Spock” or even a Spock like character. That was clear rage bait to get angry fans even angrier that Spock was now Black. Same shit 40 years ago as now. Only then, there was no internet bullhorn for the loudest assholes. (Denise Crosby was originally Troi tho)
The lesson here is to never listen to "fans."

The DC Comics house ad artwork for its ‘90s #StarTrek monthly comics were always better than they had any right to be. Jerome Moore (I think that’s his name?) did most of the covers for this era, and they were always poster worthy.

A lot of my fellow die-hard #WonderWoman fans do not like Tom King's current run, which I think has more to do with their feelings about the author than his work. But his first arc or two kicked ass IMO, and good lord, was it prescient to what's going on right now. bleedingcool.com/comics/tom-k...

Timeline cleanser; Vanity 6 performing “Nasty Girl” on Soul Train in January of 1983. They only do the first part of the song for obvious reasons. Remember, Soul Train aired after Saturday morning cartoons in most markets; they weren’t gonna have her say “I need 7 inches or more” right after Smurfs.

RIP Sal Buscema. If you grew up reading 80s/90s Spider-Man comics, then you are very familiar with his work. Never as celebrated as his older brother John, Sal nevertheless left his mark. Always a solid storyteller. Today would have been his 90th birthday.
