Happy 40th anniversary to the truly outrageous #Jem, which premiered on October 6th, 1985. Even though I did like the Misfits more (their songs were better, even the theme song said so) Between Jem, She-Ra, Golden Girls, & ThunderCats, 1985 sure was a formative TV year for one little gay Gen X boy.

“One Battle After Another” was fucking incredible. Although I see now why the trailers were so vague & kinda sucked…if Fox News & MAGA actually knew what this movie was about it advance, they would have threatened movie theaters and shit. Can’t wait for them to be normal when it gets Oscar noms

Oh yeah, they always do that. And with plenty of non WB horror movies too. I just mean as branding…there’s very much a “Universal Monsters brand,” but outside of a couple years of a Horror Made Here tours at WB Studios pre Covid, they don’t acknowledge their status as THE horror studio as much.
